notfordman Might be better to grab a pair of 2080ti's, depending on price.
- NVIDIA Titan RTX – $3000 US (50% Faster Than 1080 Ti)
TPU is showing a approximate performance increase of 10%, but then again I'm a noob! Would be better than anything I have. https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/titan-rtx.c3311
Now if they said 50% Faster then the RTX 2080 Ti I would....
I'd look at getting one, if the PPD is more than my three 1080ti's combined at a third of the power? YES PLEASE!

My two RTX 2080 Ti (2070MHz) pull more Wattage then my two GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N Hydro Copper (2062MHz) by 220 Watts.

Well EP would be doing better if Stanford stopped locking up my GPUs 1) Have had several WU fail ---> No changes in my hardware, so Must be Bad WU ... sigh 2) The Bigger Pain, Keep getting some sort of server issue, where I do not get the next WU and the card sits idle for up to 4 hrs or whenever I catch it The other cards in the PC are happy folding away, while 1 card gets stuck in limbo ---> WU (0,0,0) "panel says" downloading (But Nothing Happens) Pausing & Folding selected several times on Offending GPU - usually end up pausing all GPU rebooting & hoping it gets sorted -(Not always) 3) The typical Stanford Server nonsense "Could not get an assignment" "Could not get IP address for assignment-GPU.stanford.edu: No host is known." "Failed to send results to work server: Faild to connect to 140.163.4.231:80" ......

Not that I have 3 grand burning a hole in my pocket or anything, but if the Titan has HBM memory it might be a good deal. The low latency and high bandwidth of HBM might boost compute tasks. I'm probably out of the upgrade game for at least another generation of products. But it is interesting none the less.

I doubt this Titan will have hbm in it. This will probably be GDDR6 as well. I just hope they give it 16gb of VRAM versus 12gb, so it has a true edge over the 2080ti. I probably still won’t buy one, but it would be nice to see.

I should be up to around my 2 million ppd now, came home from a week of working and found my enermax liqtech TR4 AIO had failed and the system shutdown due to over heating. Spent the evening overhauling it and changing the fluid. Looks to be all good now, I will give it 2 weeks and clean it again to get anymore debris that was clogging it up out. So 1070ti is back online. Go CMO!

It's just going to be a fully enabled TU102 chip. There is already a Quadro RTX 6000 card that should be a good comparison point. 4608 SP + 384-bit GDDR6 is a given. The only real questions are clock speed, price, and memory size. Since it's going to use a 384-bit memory bus, that means that only 12GB or 24GB are likely options. 16GB would mean some memory channels have higher density memory ICs than others. AFAIK the only place where Nvidia has ever done this was with the GTX 660 and the GK106 chip. It has a 192-bit memory bus and 2GB of RAM. This does create the problem that once the memory channels with less dense ICs fill up, the effective memory bandwidth would drop. It would be similar to the GTX 970 "3.5 GB" mess where performance drops if you use above 12GB (in the case of it having 16GB) You're correct here about it meaning no HBM2 or other similarly unique features.

Well, i got my new ethernet hub in the mail to replace the one that fried. I can add 6 more GPUs todat which would put EP past CMO. Would also put me way paste my PPD estimate.

I'm actually seeing higher PPD on my x2 760s than ever before. I'm hovering around 160K PPD on a newly reformated Win 7 X58 rig with the newest F@H app where preformat I used to average 120K PPD for a couple of years with the older app that's been around forever. Makes me wonder if its the new software or the reformat that did it.
