Vik_epic Would it be ok if I used 6x120mm fans intake and 1x140mm fan exhaust? It would work best with my setup as there are 7 spots for fans (6 are taken atm) and after getting the 1080 Ti Hybrid, i would fill them all up. The 140mm at the back is exhaust. 2 on top (further back) and 3 front all intake. So the last spot is under the power button, which I feel like would make bad airflow as some air would go straight in and straight out around the power button. What should I do? Is it still fine to use the fans specified above? Also would it even fit at the top? I used a ruler to mesure out 12x12 cm and I don't think it'll fit another 120mm Radiator even if the case specs say it'll fit a 360mm Radiator cause radiators are longer than specified.
If I were doing it, I'd change the top two fans to exhaust, (heat rises), and then use the 140 mm spot on the back for the radiator and exhaust the warmed air from the AIO cooler out of the case. You can have too much of a good thing. Positive pressure is compression which can cause air to warm up, especially if it's circulating around in the case trying to find a way out. That turbulence can cause heating due to friction.
I would, but the only problem is that idk how to remove a bequiet silent wings 2 fan... They have these rubber holders that keep the fan in place and it seems impossible to get them off. I've tried looking it up to and nothing comes up.

Hello, Our receiving department updates products received within 1 business day the only exception to this would be if you are sending in a Hydro Copper card model which you have. Hydro coppers require 2-3 business days to go through our QA department before moving forward with processing. I apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.

Thank you for the response. I'm not sure it answers my question (i.e., the website showed the card checked in yesterday and then it changed to pending later in the day). That's too bad that the HC takes so long to process :( I understand why, but still, sad panda.

teknokanix question here....I just went from 570 in SLI to a single http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6386-KR ........yeah.....WOW.....now I'm considering doing a step-up to a http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-6696-KR although; http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-6390-KR is the only Ti option that shows in the step-up selection menu....is that because they are in stock and the 6696-KR are not??.....or, will the 6390-KR be my only step-up option?....besides the extra VRAM would it really be worth the step-up?....
if other cards then Fe do show up in step up it will be at least after they officaly ship out, and may be little while after that if stock is low. If they do add another card the sc black is the most likely one. About it being worth it or not depends on you and how much the 20-35% fps gain is worth to you.but if you don't step up just put the extra money towards a card when you upgrade later on

ewitte Will it always be FE only? It would be nice in a few months to go for a FTW or hybrid.
If you look at previously offered Step-Ups you will not see anything other than the reference cards. Unless of course it was for the 10** ACX to iCX but that's a special occasion that SHOULD never happen again. So tbh, just go for the 1080 Ti FE and buy a Hybrid AIO if you're bothered by sound or heat.
Wow something happened. Not a big fan of FE right now. I'm sitting at +0 on the core and I notice the fan ramps up REALLY high I look and I'm at 92C (and I'm in a pretty undemanding game that gets 100fps at 4k). To keep it below 90 I had to adjust the curve to 70% at 90C, drop to 90% power and -200 on the core! Luckily I found a non reference board Friday that will arrive on Monday and will be just returning this one. I was all for water but it was starting to look expensive! Also the Hybrid kit isn't all that available even 1080 is hit and miss finding that. I question why Nvidia releases with such bad thermals it is designed to be at 84% and throttled 100% of the time. EDIT: enabled vsync to cap at 60 seems to help more than the other changes.

Bought a 1080 SC last June. Loved it ever since. Paid the $99 on the last day of the upgrade offer specifically with a step-up to the 1080 ti in mind, since I didn't really need the new cooling solution (my 1080 SC had an EK water block on it).
They auto-registered my 1080 SC2 and notified me by mail and I don't even have the card in my hands yet (it arrives next week). I logged in and signed up for the 1080ti FE step up already. I could just hold onto the SC2 unopened and send it back to them NIB but I don't know how long the step-up queue will be, and my poor 960 SSC is now driving a 24" 1920x1200 and a 28" 4K at the same time. Too bad they didn't give us the option of paying for the ICX2 upgrade and going straight into the 1080ti stepup queue without having to actually get, and return, an ICX2 card, but oh well.
I had some EVGA bucks that helped with the upgrade cost, so I think my final out of pocket for upgrading a 10-month old 1080 SC will be around $130, including shipping my 1080 and the 1080 ICX back and paying shipping for the 1080ti. Not bad at all.
I'd like to say this is the reason I buy EVGA for anything I need that they also sell, but honestly, I buy them because I like them, they have killer support, etc. This is really just a bonus. I really admire that EVGA will sometimes take a hit, but regard it as an investment in customer loyalty. Nobody else even comes close to this.
Most of the games I had already pegged my 28" 4K monitor at its 60hz refresh rate, but some, like Witcher 3 and The Division did not. They were in the 40s. If I really do see the 35% improvement they are talking about, I'm dying to see if these demanding games manage to peg 60 fps at max settings at 4K. That would be unreal.

I had the same problem. I called in once before I was approved then once I was approved waiting for step 3. Finally after an email to customer service I was able to purchase the upgrade for the proper price been compared to the Original price around release.

EVGA got both of my iCX 1080 FTW2s on 4/13 (delivery confirmed). A single Ti was sent out yesterday (4/14) and should arrive 4/18. The second iCX 1080 has yet to appear as 'received'. Really fast turnaround on the one that's already en route, possibly because my trade-in cards were brand new and unopened.

So I'm on the last day of my original 90 day window to step up; and then supposedly have 30 days remaining on the '120 days for classified owners' deal... (but still nervous for some reason on watching that counter tick to 0; since the website only shows your original 90 days...) Not sure if I should pull the trigger tonight or hold out on another 30 days in hopes from them adding a 1080Ti SC ICX or something to the step up program... I know people said they likely wouldn't but... a lot changes in a month... hmm..

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for any 1080ti but the FE to appear on the stepup list. Stranger things have happened, but that's usually what you'll see. Still totally worth it.

Yeah. The FTW is a truly awesome card but the FE is still awesome and is the better choice for SLI or custom water if you want to do either in the future. I can't recall ever seeing the high end EVGA custom GPUs in the step up list personally, but if you're sure you have 30 more days and your current card is sufficient then no harm in waiting it out. At stock the FE cooler is just fine and pretty much quiet but if you want to dial up the OC then it does get noisy. FWIW I had a Gigabyte Extreme 980ti a year and a half ago and those fans had a much more annoying tone for sure. The FE cards, while they can get loud, have a much smoother sound imo and are less bothersome to me.

Tracking says they tried to deliver my card on Saturday, and that it is at the USPS facility now. Normally that means you have to go pick it up with the pink slip they leave. Will EVGA do that? Or does USPS re-deliver automatically since it's a business? :(

Holy crap. I signed up for the 1080ti with my pre-registered serial number for the 1080 SC2 that I don't even have in my hands yet, and today I got an email saying it was going to the next step, ie: checking my invoice (not necessary for the ICX upgraders) and then it's on to payment, then waiting for my card. So now comes the absurd part: my 1080 SC2 will be delivered tomorrow, and I'll immediately drive it over to the post office, slap a new address label on it, and send it back NIB. I may well have a 1080ti FE before this weekend.
