I was looking for one myself. Well, two really

There's not much information about block compatibility with GTX680 Classified cards. I don't even care about full cover blocks. We have one coming out in 1-3 weeks here (though supply may be fairly low, so pick them up fast). I need information on what universal blocks are compatible, and I can't find any

Ok, a few post ago, hidden in a wall of text...

Danger Den Waterblock for 680 Classified?  Full coverage block???

Anyway, I checked both performance-pcs and Danger Den website...  The Classified is clearly listed as compatible.  I left a email message with Danger Den trying to confirm.  We shall see.

experimenting with OC
adjusting the figures to 131, 85, 580 on precision x seems to be stable with Heaven benchmark running. when i increase either the second figures heaven crashes but if i start heaven again with the increase figures it works. ??????

with the increased figures say 131, 200, 500 running 3dmark11 the graphics scores lower than my 131,85,580 setting.

could anyone explain why? do i need to start using evbot?

Probably not the person to answer this the best. I am waiting to get the hydro copper out of the box version. BUT from what I have been reading, there is a significant limitation with the memory interface on the 600 series cards (192 256 bit). It seems to me your 131, 85, 580 setting greatly increases the memory speed. Maybe explaining your higher score??? I could be way off, just trying to be helpful.

Hey thanks for the +1 , as I mentioned on my modrigs, its because during test 1, the card will throttle after the first cut scene (20 seconds in or so) and it will throttle more (read for longer times and more downclock) the higher you set the GPU base to.

Why anyone that has that new bios, might get around it, I just think its complete and utter BS, you pay for the CLASSIFIED/Extreme version of the card, pay for a warranty (LMMFAO)on top of that, a EVBot to up the voltage, but you still cant use it for what it is meant for and they dumb it down for us average joe consumers on top of that.

Its like a truck that advertised as 'offroad', but then get some mud on the engine and have something go bad, and they say its not meant to do that...lol.  Or sell you fireworks, legally, that you 'legally' cant shoot off. no real difference here.

now if your name was kingpin or one of the other 'overclockers', you can get a bios thats 'unlocked' those items for sure. Now you might say we could use that bios too, or maybe solder that thermal sensor, but then we completely void that warranty (that cost extra if you want it to count, btw). And then we, the average joe consumer, are SOFL. But ill be GDamnded if the before mentioned people fried their cards thta they would be able to get new ones, without a advanced RMA cost or anything, if they even pay for the cards.

but...I digress...For now ya, we cant get the cards to do what they were made to do, evbot or not.

Yep,  its that awesome thing called "throttling" id say..

Masterpmi -  Thats it,  i agree completely.    All these people that wanna put the card under water are gonna be greatly surprised / disappointed when they see that they have payed premiums for a top of the line card plus for a unit that is supposed to give you a huge advantage and tweaking capability by voltage adjustments etc.. and on top of that a waterblock,  add all that up and your still stuck capped and can only out do many other normal cards by a very small amount.   lol    Only way your gonna reap the rewards is if you mod the card and thats just sad that u have to after buying "the best"

Iv modded one of mine and its useless with the stock air cooler so probably a good thing they didn't do it with this noisy failed air cooler..

So with the classified and EVBOt, do you set the voltage with it once and it stays that way? I heard a crazy guy saying that you have to manually apply the increased voltage every time you boot up the computer. I call him crazy because if that were true, it would be about the most epic fail one could think of.

An EVBot sets a constant voltage, overriding the NVidia safeguards. They are there to prevent software voltage control, but i'm sure they justify it somehow.

The EVBot settings stay constant until you do a full hot -> cold shutdown. For me, a restart kept the settings.I believe it stayed constant even with hibernate and sleep, but I could be wrong. Windows 8 changes that and I was running 7 at the time, so I can't comment.

You can use profiles to load voltage changes quickly. It takes three presses and it loads and is ready to go until you completely and fully shutdown. So yes, your friend is slightly off in that you don't need to keep setting it up. However, you do if you do full shutdowns every time. With Windows 8, your system hibernates, so this is not really the case anymore anyways.

Hahaha,   Yeah the whole Kepler thing was a fail this time round when Nvidia Said NO to fully unlocked bios options and Anti voltage tweaking to all the vendors..

Yes that's right,  although you can set "profiles" but you have to load up that setting / profile every time even though its just 1 button and accept.   Bit silly though that you have to set an idle profile, a gaming profile and a bench profile typically as once you set a value there is no more automatic adjustments for load and idle voltages ect..   LOL     Only time it resets to default is after hard reset of the system..

Alternatively, you can always flash the constant voltage bios that forces it to run at 1.21V.

I wouldn't without the cards being underwater, but it's a possibility.

lol, so for a $680 GPU + a $100 EVBot tool, you get the pleasure of  sitting there pushing buttons everytime you start your computer, or are idling surfing the web and not wanting all that voltage heat at idle. This should be very interesting with my computer in the other room from my desk...

What frequencies have people been getting with that custom BIOS and not messing around with this EvBot nonsense? My 680 Classified is already in the mail, wish I would have known about serious EVbot annoyances first. No way to keep the EVbot plugged in and auto apply the voltage by itself on powerup eh? Now I have to cut the EVBot cord/or find out how to extend it about 25 feet lol.

Dunno. Over 1300? 1350 maybe? It runs too hot at that point. You almost need water++ cooling. You can really push these cards if you can cool them adequately.

It's an enthusiast card. It's not a stretch to say they assume people will want to use the profiles feature. Your case is an exception in that you need a long cord. I have no idea how you can extend that.

I believe all the OEMs were angry at NVidia for their rules this time.  I wouldn't blame EVGA. They tried given the contract they made with NVidia, as did MSI. No idea how they did it, though.

Can you spool me up on this 55% fan speed limit. Can the evbot get it to 100% or is that some sort of BIOS mod also? With my computer in the other room I can let fans get pretty loud.

It's a BIOS limitation, because they wanted a drop-in solution with their vapor chamber cooler that wouldn't sound like a vacuum cleaner or a jet taking off.

The fans are locked at 55%. A bios flash can unlock them to 100%, but bear in mind they are LOUD! You may hear them through the other room!

Have you considered a nice watercooling loop?

I'd say, Loud is an understatement lol. I totally crashed the gpu when I was pushing it and 100% fan came on under a lockup and omg that is rediculous. I know why they capped it at 55 % now.. These cards should have been released in waterblock form only IMO.

I was guessing somewhere between US $750-810

See here.

Right in the neighborhood I was guessing. I was thinking there might be a possibility that back plate could add a little more to the cost.

Have we heard anything about it going on sale today or not yet? Any official news from Jacob?

Can someone please send me the 1.21v/100% fan BIOS? My temps are low and the 55% fan isn't loud at all so I can bump both of those easily.

EDIT: Thanks guys for sending.
