load driver - a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing..............
sata ssd tried ahci settings hard drive and cd rom detected and showed up in drive list tried diver cd and diffrent usb ports   any ideas?

    Hi would you mind shedding a little light on your question. Are you looking for what driver is missing? What are you trying to install?

    guess i was a little vague windows 7 usb onto sata ssd drive.   
    booting usb with install cd in sata cd rom can get install to point to create partition 
     
    now get setup unable to create new system partition....

    tried back usb 3 ports now trying front panel usb 2 ports no difference found an intel usb driver that i tried loading with install but didn't help
     
    cd rom will not boot.

    You need to install windows 10 instead of windows 7 since you're trying to setup a x299 system.

    What hardware are you are trying to install? Is Windows installed or is it during the install of the Windows OS? Also what version of Windows are you running or trying to install?

    Thought 7 would install - have 10 upgrade but not 10 full

    You can install Windows 10 using your Windows 7 key.  It should automatically activate once you boot into windows.

    For all X299 motherboards you will need to use windows 10 there is no other OS support on the motherboard. After doing so you should be able to find all the drivers for the page on our website at EVGA.com.

    I do agree that the information should be easier to find

    I use windows 7 64 just for the bench, but works very well in H24, we find the drivers on the web.

    I have also faced this installation issues. It makes lots of problems with my computer. the installation process is tough enough. I have visited . your information also very much useful.
