also just fyi i would like to thank again evga for the RMA card i had 1 blow up an they wer verry fast in getting me taken care of even thoe i had stickers off of them :) the new card is 10c lower then the other 2 older ones so I put it in the middel of the 3 the rig is runing great no problems .

nvida thoe ... i wasnt preped for the sound driver to cause black screen of death again . after the last go around its like a slap in the face . so upset dont even want to talk to them over it. the new driver is doing the same black screen reset .

hopfuly realtek sound driver can go thru the mini hdmi on the gtx 470 card like nvida had so i never have to have there crapy ,incertbadwordshear, again

I believe that the Nvidia HD Audio drivers do need to be installed in order for Windows to see any HDMI or DisplayPort ports as potential audio output devices.

If you're experiencing the same issue with two different cards, there may be a component in your computer that is causing the issue, rather than the drivers or the video card. As you say you get driver crash/resets once you have drivers installed, I would test your machine with either a different power supply or a different set of RAM, if you have spares readily available.

power supply is a silent pro 1200w gold from cooler master . due to the 3 gtx 470 cards I have. It had 1 extra plug for a cpu on the p55 m bord I never registerd with evga ...didnt know wer the ssn was lol ...at least I registerd the 3 gtx470"s an kept the falling off ssn sticker "s :D I know its not a hard wear issue as I can see the hole rig up an running . Im thinking eather windows due to there blue screen of death an locking down there older OS ... or nvida due to them rushing this driver out to cover the older drivers problems.
any one know of a program i can run tell crash to point a finger at what is  the problem. this is annoying in seeing i ran thru this 3 years back an every one kept saying unplug this or that an it turned out to be a crossed sound diver softwear problem . hard wear is runing fine from what i can see have a full evga set up all the latest uploads from bord to cards .new os reformat :D.shrug i can leave CS alone for a littel thoe they just came out with a harry potter escape map zombies ... tigger want to play tigger want to play *stops jumping up an down* makes said face.
