not sure why but fan 3 is almost always spinning even when the other fans are off, not sure if its a feature or what. but if it is I would like to know so im not trying to fix the issue. picture from precision x1 included

Welcome to the EVGA Forums  Run the GPU-Z & look under the sensor tab & see if you get the same result .... it could be a error with: software or the tachometer

so I downloaded gpu-z and the third fan isnt picking up under the sensors tab. not sure what that means.

just to be clear where should I be getting the firmware updates from? just geforce experience?

I can control all fans with px1. however fan 3s speed at 100% is slower than fan 1 and 2 which match speeds.

Wow. Your pic just now started working. Looks like fan #3 is 1300 rpms off from the others when all are set to 100%. Try installing graphics driver 457.09 & installing px1 version 1.1.1 to see if that will make any difference for you.

so I reinstalled driver 457.09. it did nothing, I already have px1 1.1.1. so I did a clean install of newest driver. that seems to have somewhat fixed it, sometimes 100% rmp on fan 3 is matched with fan 1/2, sometimes fan 3 100% tops out at half the speed of fans 1/2. it seems to like to change and im not sure why. but it doesnt seem to be that huge of a issue. hopefully some future update makes it all work better. but who knows

there does seem to be a new possible issue, either I never noticed it or its new but when doing nothing my 3070 likes to drop down to under 400 mhz. not sure if its supposed to do that

I know this is an old thread, but I have the opposite issue. My 3rd fan (the one closest to the back of the case) responds normally to the fan control I select in the software. The other two fans are barely spinning and sometimes slow down and stop only to jump start again a few seconds later.

I have the same Problem too. But the opposite. My fan 3 is spinning faster than the other ones

Hallo. I have the same problem too. Since I cleaned up my PC tower last time. I started hearing a noise. Today I saw that the fan 3 is spinning faster than the other fans and his rpm are higher than the other ones. But I don't know of it's a software problem or the fan has an issue?
