Install the latest BIOS for your motherboard if needed.

Clear CMOS or Load Optimized Defaults in the BIOS and try again.

You may need to install the JMicron JMB36X Controller Driver.

It boots right to that screen with the adapter card plugged in, huh?

What slot do you have it in?

    Any POST code/beeps?

Exactly what adapter card and SSD?

I don't know..That card might be faulty or maybe not compatible with your motherboard.

There's 6 black SATA ports and 1 red (JMicron) SATA port on your board..You could use one of those instead of that card..If I remember correctly, the JMicron port only supports a data drive, so you can't boot from it.

You can also put that card in a PCIe x16 slot and try it..A PCIe x1 card will fit and work in an x16 slot.

That's about all I can tell you.

    OK, pre X58 MB ...

Try turning off all unused "Integrated Peripherals" in BIOS to Free resources

    Which MB ?

I think it is simply incompatible as you've tried all suggestions.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA
