Dear lord i feel sorry for anyone shopping for a 40 series card come October. From what i have seen so far, ( just watched the ROG stream) and i have not seen all AIB's cards yet but man from an aesthetics standpoint those six different ASUS cards they debuted look horrible LoL. That 4090 STRIX is by far the ugliest GPU i have ever seen.

I agree, the front face of the Strix has the ugliest front ever, and would be impossible to theme a build around, unless you watercooled it.

I do like the backplate for the Strix tho. The TUF's backplate is pretty boring, but the front is much more visually appealing.

Not sure what Asus was thinking here lol. But yeah, I agree, the Strix's heatsink shroud is hideous.

    I agree with that.

Just saw the Zotac 3090, that looks pretty decent.

Agreed! Lol But I was planning on going HYDRO COPPER on the Step-Up Program. So it doesn't matter to me. The only reason I bought my 3080ti HYDRO COPPER from EVGA was specifically for the Step-Up option. I have never owned anything other than EVGA cards. And had I known that they were going to be quiting the GPU market. I would have waited to buy a 4090. I purchased my 3080ti not to long before the announcement. I've been a loyal EVGA customer for years. I really feel like they should have made the announcement much sooner than they did. But it's whatever. I wish EVGA much success in the future. Out of all the years and products purchased. This is the time I felt like I was screwed over. So we had a good run.

Also there are some really sexy looking waterblocks coming out for the 4000 series. If I do decide to get a 4090. That's the route I will choose. Custom loop all the way! Just swap out the 3080ti HYDRO COPPER for a 4090 with a block and keep it moving.

I'm likely just going to go after a FE since whatever I get is gonna have a waterblock added.  I made the "mistake" though of buying a hydrocopper SKU when I got my 2080 Super.  While it's been great and saved me from having to swap on a block for my first cooling loop, I didn't think about the resell problem it would create because anyone who buys it HAS to use it with a custom loop since there's no stock air cooler to put back on.
