If you got a DVI-D cable, it will works correctly: played with it since 6 days on my 144Hz (1920x1080) screen (Asus vg248qe) (also using it for 3D nvision2 mode). That was the main reason I bought that 2070rtx black in the first place, for the dvi-d output since I had no DP cable (got one since, it also works correctly)
 
Note that the DP output has priority on the HDMI output, which has priority on the DVI-D output. So if you have a VR headset connected to the HDMI, maybe it will be a problem when you start the pc (see my topic on this forum about it: Impossible to use Windows Mixed Reality heaset HDMI + DVI-D monitor at same time???)

Please clarify your question. What monitor, as there are quite a few that support 144hz.. and what dvi port on the card? Are you referring to an adapter, because the 2070 does not support dvi natively anymore, and it requires a DisplayPort to dvi adapter.

Hello, I’m using the zowie xl2411 right now with dvi-d connected to my gtx 970 using 144hz, so the cable and monitor are working just fine on 1080@144hz which is the res I wanna play at, I just want to make sure that the output on the dvi port of this gpu is 144hz before buying it, thanks.
(The gpu is EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Black GAMING that has 1 dvi-d port, 2 displayports and 1 hdmi)
