I missed my notify (7/15 signed up) unfortunately. Anyways I was debating for Z590 DARK + 10900K or AMD platform with Crosshair VIII Dark Hero or EVGA X570 DARK so hopefully someone else got it. That said I got the GPU finally after a whole year of wait with an nvidia FE card. Will be soon going to make a decision. Hopefully EVGA makes this board available to all soon.

Lol just got my dark today from ups, of course I had to pay $20 for standard shipping with the auto notify email, and I check today to download drivers for the board and see it in Stock with free shipping.... SIGH But anyone else having trouble with the downloads page only showing the latest bios? I can't seem to get it to show the drivers or any other bios versions.

Just checked. Same thing. It only gives you the latest bios. And you can't uncheck "Latest."

Just checked. Same thing. It only gives you the latest bios.
And you can't uncheck "Latest."
Can confirm. The z590 FTW shows drivers, but also only latest BIOS and cannot uncheck the "latest".

Ive ran multiple mobos with certain bios because the "latest" updates actually hurt performance.

Interesting. Is that mostly an EVGA mobo trait? I have not experienced that with Asus mobos, but I'll admit I don't always re-bench after a BIOS upgrade. The Z590 Dark is my first EVGA board, I've been an Asus fanboy up until now, but I really like the look and feel of this board compared to my current main rig, which is running a ROG Crosshair VIII Formula (the Dark Hero hadn't come out yet when I got it).

thats mostly an asus thing where the latest bios isnt good. evga for the most part is straight forward, latest bios is the best unless u are on z490 then the latest bios for 10th is the best (if using 10th gen), do not download bios for 11th gen support for 10th gen cpu on z490 boards(this applies to all board vendors).

Is the Z590 Dark even worth getting if your not into heavy overclocking? Like as in.....is it good for a powerful editing pc build in a case?

i dont think so. i havent used djr on the dark so i cant comment. but i have seen people complain that the dark couldnt run xmp 5066 or 5333(dont remember which one) gskill kit. i have no idea how true that is either.

I purchased one with the intent of building my ultimate video editing PC. 11900, 32-64GB of super fast ram, 3090 Kingpin in a lian li dynamic xl with woter cooled loops. Not into heavy gaming, but thought it would be cool to be able to load and run some of the stable preset overclock performance profiles sometimes.
Not sure if I should use the 590 Dark, or the regular FTW3 590 wifi that I have? I'm still within the return period for the 590 Dark (still sealed up), so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

11900k is meant for gaming purposes. its an 8 core ,high ipc, has a really strong imc and loves voltage. any high core count cpu will destroy the 11900k in video editing thats just how it works. but since u already bought the 11900k, the question is whether the dark or stick with ftw. first of all which memory do u have? and second of all do u have any experience in overclocking ram/cpu? doing "proper overclocking" is an art which is time consuming to learn and master, not many people know how to have stable daily overclocks( and no, cinabench r20/r23 or tm5 arnt good stress tests at all). if u are new to overclocking and are interested to master it, the dark will be a fine board to do so, with the right kit of memory of course. best 2x16 DR bdie kit out there is the 4000c14 for gear 1(i have seen people complain that it doesnt do well on gear 2(non dark owners btw), i will be testing gear 2 with these sticks to confirm that)

The newer editing software is leaning more and more towards gpu power (as it should), so core counts aren't as critical. I also just personally prefer intel over amd (even though amd usually uses more cores). I havent purchased ram yet, and was waiting to see which ram worked best with this board.
As far as mastering overclocking.....that's definitely not my goal, I just want a killer bulletproof system that will shred whatever I throw at it without breaking a sweat! I want a PC that will remain cool and fast when I walk away while a video transcodes or renders for 3-4 hours.

The 11900k can be fast (at various tasks)...but it is not cool. At least, it isn't easy to cool. The 5000x series runs a bit warm too (for a different reason involving really small die-size and how to get heat out of such a small area effectively), but not as hot and it takes quite a setup to cool an 11900k, more than a 5000x CPU does anyway. If you're willing to buy a top of the line motherboard and the best CPU for it, just also plan on spending a lot of money for cooling if you expect it to actually stay cool. For example, if you put a good water-loop on it, you should be able to run 5.2-5.3GHz all-core no problem. If you put a small radiator on it, or air cooler, or restrict the airflow to your radiators in a case that doesn't allow adequate airflow, you're going to run into problems running the CPU fast.

Yeah, I saw that. A Kingpin and an 11900k on the same loop...ouch. I would want to fill every possible mm of rad you can fit in that case. It'll be tight. I'd love a case like that if it would fit a 420mm rad in top and bottom, and a 280mm in the side. 140mm fans make such nicer sounds than 120mm fans for the same airflow.

I was actually thinking of running the gpu and cpu on different loops. I have a 360mm Z73 kraken I planned on running on the cpu (because I really like the visible temp display, and running a separate loop on the kingpin with the copper block.
