Have a Razer Goliathus Chroma mouse mat that has an led around the edges. When in sleep and powered off state the light will dimly flicker every 3-4 seconds. Don't want to damage it or cause the light to fail prematurely...

Any thoughts?

My recent evga boards seem to keep feeding power to my keyboard so I have to turn off the lights on it when I go to bed. Not sure why or if there is a fix for this. But, if it worries you about damaging the led, get an extension for it and just disconnect it when not in use.

Is not that the function of that EU switch  by the power plug on some power supplies ?

Is that what that EU bios setting does? Will check that when I get home.

Is Windows setup to allow the USB ports to be energy managed / turned off

"Change advance power settings"
"USB settings"

Correct

OK, with the PC shut down - Yes, they still have power

Not sure if there is any BIOS setting "Dark" that will stop the USB port from powering or "leaking" through the LED on your mouse

Yes I can confirm this behavior on my Z370 Classified K motherboard as well, powers the LEDs on my Evoluent mouse when shut down. I would have to flip the power switch manually on the PSU so no power is available to the mouse. I may also happen for my EVGA Z10 mechanical keyboard LEDs, too.

It does make a nice night light - but is there any downside to this other than I have to turn the PSU off after shutdown for the LED not to receive power?

Found it. Go into bios power settings and enable erp. This kills power to the USB ports when powered off.

Thanks for sharing what you learned --> "enable ERP" - kills power to USB Ports when PC is Off
