I am running an X58 3X SLI mobo and I had a question about fans, and the number I can run from one mobo smart fan plug.  Right now I am using a Corsair H105, and I replaced the stock fans on it with 2 120 mm. led fans that are rated a lot better.  I have one plugged in to the top right 'smart' fan plug, and the other plugged in to the aux. fan plug.  The aux fan plug seems to be running slower that the smart fan plug, and there is no way of adjusting it in the bios.  So I was wondering if it was safe to run 2 120 mm. fans off of a single smart fan plug via splitter.  I don't want to overload the fan plug, so I figured it would be smarter to ask first.

Your H105 AIO unit should have came with a "Y" cable for the fan connections.  So you can plug your two fans into the "Y" cable so they work together.

Yes, I have the Y splitter, and that is what I was planning on doing, I just wanted to verify that it is safe to plug 2 fans in to the smart fan plug via splitter without shorting or drawing too much power from said fan plug.  Thanks!
