Congrats on hitting 4.6Ghz!! I was struggling with 4.5Ghz but I'm not lucky enough to have a 980X but I was still very happy when I did it!! :) Do you think it might go higher??

Im thinking there is more in there. Its running on a H80 in my rv02 case with it mounted on bottom pulling cold air in. Temps seem ok. Gotta hit the internets and learn more about this proc for getting more out of it. So far so good! edit: just looked at this image uploaded....can hardly see it ...jeech if i need to submit a better image lemme know. Donno why its so hard to see...hrmmph..

JimmyCricket, you need to use a problem size no smaller then 2500. Mr.RS4, you need to have HyperThreading turned on for the stability test. Sorry it took me so long to get this updated. I hope to stay on top of it better from now on.

Hi guys I'm just testing my second D0 in my EVGA 762 board and I've been noticing that the GFlops sometimes go lower than they where on a previous test at a slower CPU speed? I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea's as to why that would happen? I've just gone from 4.44Ghz to 4.5Ghz and my GFlops have gone from 55.5 to 49.1.. I've only bumped up the bus speed and pushed up the Vcore two notches. Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in advance :)

I found if I pushed the RAM to much then the GFlops drop have you checked the ram speed ?

Ram is within spec and the timings are slightly looser than they need to be at the speed, so I'm unsure... Ram is 2133Mhz and I'm running 857MHz @ 9-9-9-21-74-1T so I think they are fine... According to CPU-Z, the XMP-2134 settings are 9-9-9-24-35-2T @ 1067MHz.... I did up the VTT and that made the GFlops jump up higher at the same clock speed. Been getting a few blue screens during the first three loops of LinX so just trying to get it past them and I think it should be fine.

As I've kept getting blue screens at random times, I've decided its got to be the ram so thank you for the heads up FIB Goldberg :) I've set it to auto and the timings are a mess at 11-11-11-29-88-1T but I hope this allows me to get through the test so I can try and go a bit higher!! Is there anyway I can tighten the timings or is my ram pants??

Messing with those two voltages has helped me stabilize my memory.. if you got your cpu vcore situated mess with those... And ALWAYS save or document your last good settings before any switches in settings!! Good Luck!!

My QPI PLL volts are at 1.3V, my CPU VTT volts are set to 1.4V and I have set my ram timings to 'stock' as it were, which was 9-9-9-24 and 2T so I'm hoping I've cracked it now! I've just passed the 17th loop so I'm praying that it'll finish this time!! My GFlops are still lower than before and I don't understand why. I'm hitting around 52.5 I think at the moment and on my 759 system for the same speed I was hitting as near as makes no difference, 58.. Any idea's why its so low? I'll hopefully post up a screen shot shortly of what I've managed :) Do I have to worry about any particular limits for the volt settings? I don't want to fry my chip!! :) Thank you for the help!! :)

Here's my screen shot of my failed 4.5Ghz run... I wasn't best pleased!! I've tried upping the VCore now to 1.4V and I hope that might have helped.. I've just started re-testing and the GFlops are still lower than they where, I have really no idea why! The ram timings where higher and they managed a higher speed!! Not sure what's going on there... Any advice would be most greatfully received!!

Well upping the core is a start. Good job.. maybe up the vdimm a notch or two can help as well. Remember, *i know you know this already, but with overclocking its a hit or miss... 4.5 is now east feat.... Good luck and have fun.. Wow your vtt is high. Edit: Another thing mainly regarding gflops, I've asked almost the same question and of course i got mix answers..in my as long as i was stable at higher clocks gflops didn't matter much..kinda like chasing a unicorn and stuff.... I am on my phone now got keep it short.. Glhf

Are there limits to the VTT v1ral?? I did find getting 4.5Ghz stable with my other 920 D0 hard but I'm aiming for a bit higher yet but if I can't get it to work, then no bad thing! It's not exactly a slow PC....

On the first page it'll tell you everything that you need to know :) Basically, run LinX for 20 runs at above 4.2Ghz and post up a screen shot with your forum name and CPU-Z CPU and memory Tab along with Real Temp that's been running the entire test :) If you get stuck just read the first post :)
