This is why I don't like acrylic/plexi blocks whether its the user who over tightens the block or overtime from heat, it could weaken and crack on its own.  Reasons why I stick with black acetal.

Ya - (2) 1080 Ti blocks (Acetal + Nickel), and (2) 1080 Ti Backplates.
I was surprised they came on Friday because when I ordered the page said they probably wouldn't ship until around 4/14, so I was expecting them to come in sometime this week and then I got an automated e-mail from UPS saying they had a package from Slovenia scheduled to arrive on 4/14 and sure as $hit it arrived on 4/14, everything in the one box.

Open a ticket on our website and we'll send you replacement parts for the damage on the little shroud.  It's due to the single-slot bracket that moved during transport.  Very sorry about that.

My cover got damaged as well.  Of course the culprit was the back-plate sliding around loosely in the package.

I will submit a ticket as well.

I noticed that during installation, but I just followed the EK instructions. So far haven't had any issues on my cards.

Yeah i ended up just doing the same and I haven't noticed any issues either.  Thanks.

For what it is worth I matched the FE Cooler Thermal Pads and then some.
Your White Thermal Pads are a lot nicer than that what I had.

I thought about that as well, however, I just skipped the white areas and the chips to the left of the chokes.  I haven't noticed any issues thus far.  I'm wondering if it might hamper any OC potential.  Time will tell I guess.  Thanks.

Ordered my EK Plexi Block and Back plate on the 5th, was supposed to ship the 12th, then the 13th... then no replies. I decided since I was going to have to wait anyways, to cancel and order through performance PCs.  I contacted an EK rep on Reddit and had already filed a support ticket to cancel the order. He said don't worry it won't ship. So I ordered from Performance. All this while my order just said "processing" on the EK website. This morning when I checked my email, "Sorry we can not cancel your order, it will be processed by DHL today" and a "Thank you for your order" email. Their reply to asking to cancel 5 days ago? "you can contact our RMA department and try and RMA your parts". Ok so ship it all the way to the states and I'll try and RMA it. SOOOOOOO, Now I have 2 blocks coming and 2 back plates and only one 1080ti!!!!! UGH!!!!!!! I guess check the FOR SALE area later!

Welcome to the Forum
Keep us up to date and status from PC-Performance.
Still show Availability: Preorder and now shows No Shipping Date.

Thanks for the welcome and I will, never posted here but my last 5 cards going back to the 570 were all EVGA. This is also my first time water cooling.  Both orders are supposed to come on Thursday, I'll let you guys now what they look like and if EK is going to let me RMA, most likely it will cost an arm and a leg to send back so if everything is in good shape I'll probably sell the extra.

Go Slow and Take Your Time with your First Water Build. They are Fun to Build or Assemble as some put it.
You should test out your card before you install the water block to ensure that the card is working ok.

No worries, I stepped up from the 1080 FTW 2 and have been using the card with a temporary H100i on my Ryzen 1700x for several weeks. Most of the build is in and I'm just waiting on the block to finish the loop. It's a PETG hardline build and it only took 2 bends to get it right, I used to work in a plastics CNC and Hot/Cold forming shop (Acetal, Nylon, PVC, PETG, Polycarbonite, and Acrylic) so I have plenty of experience, I have to make a few more bends and then leak test. Even made my own top plate for the 570x moved the fans and added a window with a fillport.

So I got my 1080 hybrid kit and installed it on my 1080 Ti with no problem. Just the kit, I haven't messed with the shroud or midplate or whatever it's called yet, so my card is pretty naked but running great. Idling at 25 and it hasn't left the 40s yet, in Wildlands, Heaven, or 3dmark. This water cooling thing is pretty cool, and I'm not even doing anything custom like yall are. edit: oh yeah, OC'd with 150 / 400, reaching 1999/5900 from what afterburner says.

So ekwb just got back to me on my ticket. A couple items in my order are "out of stock," which would be the waterblocks and backplates (the only things in my order). I'm really fed up with this crap.

I guess I'm screwed since my waterblock is leaky, my computer is disassembled and no replacements available :-(

I wouldn't be too worried about stock for RMAs. I'm sure they'll make it work. I'm also a little skeptical about the response, since other people have had their products shipping. Maybe it's the backplate that's holding it up? Who knows.

Why are you not requesting an RMA as EK_Luc Posted?

The cracking probably happened when you installed the plexi terminal and overtight the screw. If you open a ticket on our website, we'll be able to help you out with a replacement top
Link for the ticket : https://www.ekwb.com/customer-care/
Ask for new O-Rings as well you may have Pinched One or Two.

What you see beyond the outer o-ring is simply an oily residue that we apply on the o-ring.  Nothing to worry there.

Talk about too much drama.
Put your Air Coolers Back on and RMA your Water Block(s).

Pretty sure that's exactly what he said he's doing? His response was to my post, which said EKWB has said they are out of stock. Thus, he's concerned the RMA will be slow due to stock concerns.

Wow, look at you.

I know how to read and understand their response. I'm just expressing some disappointment at the possibility of having to wait because they don't have stock, which I can do and will if I have to. It's not like I'm trying to stir the pot by assuming EK created an inferior product because they 'missed' a screw.

I am not blaming them either and accept that It is possible I caused the problem although I would have expected to hear the block crack. I think the fact the EK-Luc responded through the EVGA forum is awesome and demonstrates great customer support. Oh, and yes... I had submitted a ticket even before Luc suggested I did.

You can come place the air coolers back if you want.

I opened a ticket about the terminal cover shroud thing being damaged from the PCI bracket bouncing around in the box and and they sent an email and shipped a replacement the next day. I should have it by Friday the 21st according to DHL but DHL is full of poo so if anything holds it up it will be DHL.

Great customer service from them so far and in the past.

Sucks people are not getting the parts they need. I am in seattle ordered on April 5th when i saw there post about it being released. Received it on the 17th. reported the broken part on the 18th and replacement scheduled to arrive by 21st.

They have told you they have No Stock of the "replacement tops"
It most likely cracked after you started up the Water Pump and started to put pressure in your water loop.
You would not have been able to hear it crack.

Oh and it is not "because they 'missed' a screw." it is because they Missed TWO Screw Mounts. But that Drama is Over, is it not.

You should still Ask for new O-Rings as well you may have Pinched One or Two.
I also have a EK-FC Terminal DUAL Serial with no O-Rings I can send you for free to help you out.
It is new I only got it as a backup incase I needed to move the GPU on the MB.

I don't where you read that they told me they didn't have tops. EK didn't tell me directly they didn't have tops. I never said that. I was inferring that if they told other people they didn't have the blocks in stock, it also meant that they didn't have the tops.

Anyway, after they asked for photos yesterday and I sent them, I didn't hear from them again. I was hoping to get a follow-up email. Hopefully, we will move forward tomorrow. It's amazing that they sent a replacement so quickly to Ragevirus.

It's amazing that they sent a replacement so quickly to Ragevirus.

They only sent me the small piece of plastic shroud with the 1080ti badge on it, I also provided pictures and details in the original ticket I opened with them.
