I was just reading that people are currently paying for flights that land at the same location, just to enjoy flying as a passenger again.
I am TERRIFIED of flying as a passenger. Every time I have ever gone up I am white knuckled and thinking "TODAY I DIE!!!!!"
Yet I achieved a private pilot's license in a Cessna 172. So the oddest thing about me is I'm terrified to fly, but if I'm behind the controls I'm all like a giggling child on a rollercoaster screaming "Whooohooo..."

That's actually quite understandable. They don't bother me, but if my dad gets bitten by one he's in big trouble. Once he was stung on the neck and his whole neck and face puffed up like the elephant man, we had to rush him to the ER so they could help him breathe.

I haven't been stung since I was a kid but i spent 2 days in the hospital due to it. I don't even know if I'm still allergic due to not getting stung in almost 30 years but I don't want to take the chance.

I have no fear whatsoever about doing something in public. I can easily present a paper in front of a thousand people, address a crowd, mingle in a busy event etc. No issues.
But i suck - suck suck SUCK - at small talk. Like, going to the pub after work, having some casual bants - yeah. I am so bad at it, you would think i was being terrible intentionally.

That’s not an irrational fear. I would tell your doctor if it’s impacting your ability to hike or enjoy the outdoors and ask if they recommend an Epipen. You could keep it in your backpack or bag and not have to worry as much. anarchy998

Well, the ODDEST thing, I can't post about here... for reasons... but some other oddities:
I have no fear or anxiety about most anything in real life (except the dentist chair, I have weird nerve clusters, so I don't numb.) Nobody intimidates me, nothing scares me, nothing is taboo, tons of pride and no shame... but I have been avoiding attempting Streaming out of anxiety, because I can't fathom the notion that anyone would even consider wanting to see something associated with my face on their monitor.
