Geez, all of you use 1000+ watt PSUs? I have a new corsair RM850x sitting here waiting for all my parts. Should be fine, should I be worried???
I actually used to have 850 that I sold to a friend and downgraded to spare 650 I had since he needed 850 and I didnt, recently I got the 1000w for 3080 but now I wonder if i should have went bigger because 3080 pulls 450w with new bios and I'm gonna be getting 5950x or new thread ripper if those come out soon and 1000w might not be enough for all that lol
Yeah I'm not going to upgrade (whenever I get my card) to that new beta bios with higher limits...

What is the point of this thread? If someone is using an underpowered PSU they should well know it. Why would you spent $800+ on a GPU and have a crap PSU????

For this thread to be meaningful, people should probably state which cpu they're using along with any overclocks. A power supply that works for a system with no overclocks will not necessarily work with one that is overclocked.

Works, but make sure that cables are plugged into PSU per Seasonic's instructions (certain 8 pin slots should be filled before others), otherwise maybe doesn't work.
So far seems to be working with the 450W BIOS!

Jeez, that's impressive on a 750watt psu. But I assume your UPS is also adding in monitor(s) draw as well which isn't draw on the PSU. My two monitors alone pull about 100 watts.

Have you tried the new BIOS? If so, no issues? Just curious, as I have a Corsair RM750x and am wondering if there is enough headroom there with a 3080 and future CPU upgrades (probably a 5800X in a year or so). I've also got 2x 120mm and 2x 140mm case fans, an NVMe, and 2x 1TB SATA SSD drives.

If you think Its useless, why looking, why bother, such comment speaks volumes of someones character. I can assure you this thread helps a lot of fox to determine PSU's with "potential issues" beside the wattage.. they aren't made all the same.
