I'm having reboots also during gaming using the RM850X. It happens more often if I overclock anything the least bit. Didn't start until installing the FE. Specs below. This build is a couple of months old except for the power supply. It's about 8 months old. I just ordered the EVGA 1600 P2 today. Should have it tomorrow. I'll update if it fixes my issue.

PC Power and Cooling, Silencer 750W MKIII  works fine with a 3090.
 

I'm running a Seasonic Prime TX-750 with the system in my sig. Slightly overclocked, but nothing extreme. I am also using Antec power cable extensions for everything besides my 2 SATA power connectors. No splitting of PCI-E cables, however, as this power supply accommodates up to 4 individual 8 pin PCI-E cables. No issues at all.

Keep an eye on it, if it starts to overheat or starts getting loud get a higher wattage replacement. 

I've been running it since release and I've had no issues whatsoever.

WOW, for as trusted and as good as Seasonic is I am seeing a lot of issues and complaints with their platform not liking these 30xx series cards. My last few systems have had Seasonic and they have been great! I have an EVGA 1000T2 and an unopened Seasonic TX-850. I will be sending back the Seasonic, kind of a shame to see for an industry leading PSU manufacturer. According to Johnny Guru, EVGA 1000T2 is pretty much on par with the Seasonic stuff as far as regulation and ripple.

Mainly it's the older models that are having the issues.
 
The newer ones are fine.
 
The TX-850 is fine with the 3000 series.

Working at stock clocks. More than +80 and +200 or so can be somewhat unstable. GPU dislike 2150Mhz and higher on PX OC scan.

(that said I was doing video rendering today and I have it set to use the GPU for extra power, and my USB ports start going nuts during the render. Dunno if that's power related. No reboots/shutdowns and gaming/benchmarking has been fine)

Hey what motherboard are you running?  This isn't hard data ofc but I had an MSI X470 Gaming Pro that I bought in 2018 and I had to have it RMA'd because it started getting to where when I was doing anything streaming+gaming, or rendering a video all the USB ports would go nuts and it was a hundred percent the mobo.  I bought a much higher tier X570 and sold the replacement X470 to my older brother for $20 and neither of us been having any issues like that anymore.  When I had the malfunctioning mobo it wouldn't random reboot or crash or anything just USB ports would go on and off randomly the more load I put into the board.  Recommend RMAing your mobo if you can.

So, I have a EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2.  I read that people are having issues with other 750s..  I will be putting a 3080 into the machine, not planning to overclock.  I have a very lowkey system, listed below.  Should I upgrade, and if so, what should I move to?  I would rather not, but if im going to have issues I would rather be forewarned.

How long have you had that PSU?

RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra on Corsair AX1500i. 3 separate power cables directly to card.  Card bricked -> single red light; no longer even shows BIOS.  Only a few hrs of gaming, no overclock.  Did update firmware when prompted after installing Precision X1.  Currently undergoing RMA.

I haven't gotten an RTX 3000 series card yet, but I'm wondering if there are any knowledgeable people here that might know if my power supply may or may not cut it?
 
I have an XFX ProSeries 750W bronze that has lasted me several years and is still going strong. Anyone know definitively or just has an educated guess if it could handle an RTX 3070?
