    Jacob,
I love the Evga blocks, I really do. But, how would the lower temps help, if the throttling is due to the tdp 265 w issues? Thank you.

    nice
What was the CPU temp, and where in the loop is the card?

    Hi Jacob,
Will the EVGA GTX Titan SC Hydro Copper  be out any time soon (within the next 2 weekd or so?). Or should I hold my breath a little longer?

    Jacob,
I love the Evga blocks, I really do. But, how would the lower temps help, if the throttling is due to the tdp 265 w issues? Thank you.

Well from what I have been reading, it still will help because the Fan on the card draws power and card is capped at 265w.  So if you have a fan running and let's say it is running at a high speed, it is taking some of the 265w.  With a Waterblock there is no fan to power, so that free's up some watts for the GPU itself.

When I had my 690 on air I found my ceiling of the Core Offset and abviously those cards, like all 600 series are voltage locked.  But when I went to water, I was able to clock a bit higher as well as a bit more on the memory due to the cooler temps.     I am not saying this will be the same way on the Titan, but one would think you could achieve a higher clock on water.

We will see, I just received confirmation for my EK Blocks and hopefully should have them on Monday/Tuesday to test things out.

Maximus56, the lower temp a chip runs usually helps lower overall TDP and power consumption afaik. So going from 70-80C with stock fan also consuming juice, to 30-40C water cooled might indeed buy some headroom and or top boost speed stability.

Disappointing that Aquacomputer isn't doing a real full coverage block.

Also 89.99 euro to USD conversion is 117 but that doesn't cover the shipping and other stuff.  Hope its around 120~130 as that's my block of choice ATM or the Heatkiller.

Seems like the EVGA swiffy blocks are always more expensive.  The three I picked up for my 680's ran me like 150 each.  EK blocks for my 7970's were 120 a pop (EK) and the blocks for my Titans (also EK) were around 120.

Full cover refers to the block covering/cooling all necessary components, not just GPU only. It's always meant this. The Aquacomputer/EK etc blocks are full cover blocks. The EVGA block has a plastic shell that sits on top, it doesn't cool anything extra the Aquacomputer or EK blocks don't cool, and it's not 'true full cover' lol.

Well, I've owned gpu water blocks from EVGA (Swiftech), Koolance, EK, etc. and haven't had any problems with any of them. I ordered an EK block for my Titan this time around but only because its the first one available. If EVGA would have had theirs ready I would've gone that route, sorry EVGA.

Good news is that I will have the EK block on Monday. Bad news is that I won't get my Titan until Tuesday due to the stupid signature requirement. I missed the delivery yesterday because I was at work, they don't deliver and don't allow pickups on Saturdays, and I will miss it again Monday because I'll be at work.

If I am not mistaken, isn't the Titan the first GPU to have memory chips on the backside.  How do these get cooled?  On my 690 block, the block cooled the memory as well as other parts and the GPU itself, so with the Titan having memory on the backside as well, wouldn't it cause an issue with OC the memory due to it not being cooled, or half of them not being cooled?

I don't think the memory absolutely has to be cooled. Heck one of the chips on the back of my Titan is covered by the evga serial # sticker....

Yup I know what full cover means but the fact that AquaComputer did make a full coverage like block where most of the PCB was not showing with the 690 was nice.  This one is a bit disappointing since the card they're making it for is the same level as the 690

That does look nice. Does the 690 have things to cool right down the back near the power sockets? I can see why they'd try and save material since its costly but aesthetically that looks better.

I too prefer the full cover looks...even if it's just for aesthetics.

My dilemma now is whether or not to WC these cards. It's kind of sad because the shrouds/cooler on the 690 and Titan are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Added to the fact that they do a damn fine job at keeping things cool while staying quiet.

Here's a long shot...but I hope that one day in the future NVIDIA/AMD realizes that many people plan to just rip the reference shroud off their cards and slap a water block on right away. They should offer a bare card and adjust the price accordingly. In the past the plastic setup might not have added so much to the price. But with what we're seeing now in their "luxury" line it definitely has to add a little to the MSRP.  $1000 for a full card $900 for a bare WC ready card.

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

For the Titan I'll be willing to pay a little more for that extra metal.
Also are you getting AquaComputer again for your Titan?  Since if I remember right you have AquaComputers for your 680L.

Ah ok so that'd be why it was covering basically the whole card. Yeah I'll be getting the aquacomputer blocks, the ones on my 680L's have been great.

But as far as looks go, it just looks better.

Heatkiller's design will probably end up looking like all other heatkillers but gonna wait and see how they come out also.

im holding out on a titan mainly to see if one with custom tdp limit would be released, or if it'll be changed with bios modding. and im still saying NO to EK for the CSQ change, ugliest design ever.

The Titan blocks I ordered from EK are NOT CSQ.  I had heard a ton of people complained (and well they should, it SUCKS) about the design.

And people shouldn't complain seeing how EK heard the out cry and held a poll for the new WB design.  Which kicked off with the Titan WBs.

I dunno...I kinda like the CSQ design. I think the new design is too plain. I mean I know you don't see it all that often, but at CSQ was unique.

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

I didn't care either.  I had more of an issue with their quality control.

That new design from waterblocks with circle...
    I notice that first day...
That's very modern and innovative design but somehow I didn't like from first day that... Ex series was much better...
Associate me on some bathroom and I don't know...
    This for Titan is cool...
