Sorry, but those heatkiller backplates just don't look good to me at all. They look like something you'd iron your clothes on actually, lol.

FCPU rocks.  I can exchange for store credit.  Do we have an ETA on those EK full cover blocks?  Not that it matters as I am sure I will sit her in purgatory forever waiting on the 900d.

Did you install the block already, or was it still unopened?

I agree with this, I will not be paying $180 for an extra inch which doesn't cool anything more.

Ill stick with the $106 one

I forgot that $30 of that comes from the backplate then the nickel blocks are $120 so it is $30 more for the full length block. Personally it still isn't worth it since I like the EVGA backplates more

Not much if any. The 680 blocks were $150 or $150 + $20 for a backplate

I don't think you will see it any cheaper than that

EVGA blocks historically = swiftech = crap.  Sorry, I love EVGA but swiftech blocks suck.  I'd pay more for the EK / heatkiller / aqua etc but the same price, no way.   Also, CAx, you are right... the combo is only 30 bucks more.  I think the look may be worth it....

Checked to see if PPC had the EK Total cover block listed yet and they don't. However they do have the Dual, Triple, and Quadruple (semi)parallel terminals in.

I've never had them leak on me in the past. I also always leak tested the blocks outside the system and made sure the o-rings were good.

the full cover block is actually only $144. i didnt realize that they included the 20% VAT tax in the cart. Once you choose the US as the destination, it removes that tax. but the shipping cost is $35 cause it is showing DHL express(3 day) as the only option. once it shows up at PPC or FCPU then it will be a decent price since it include backplate.

So the full cover is 144 with the backplate?  That's not bad.  Yea, I will return my blocks to FCPU and wait for the new ones to get there.  FCPU FTW.

EK + backplates installed. Had to tighten some of the EK block standoffs as they were a tad loose, one especially and would have prevented good seating, so just check before you go ahead and install.

Here are some EK WB's with EVGA BP's , I used my own screws i have many laying around , but there is a slight bend in the PCB i managed to correct it where there is about 2% bend , maybe it is the screws but it shouldn't harm the cards, I am still waiting on some more parts as i changed my setup again and again.I relocated the serial sticker to the BP as was my 680's.

Those look great, but I would not have moved the stickers to the back plate. If I was going to take them off to begin with I would have put them somewhere safe, like back in the boxes if you were keeping them, or moved them to the smoothest part of the PCB.

hmm, Good idea i rather keep them on the box then, but the 680's had their sticker  from factory on the BP. They were easily removed you can tell they are freshly installed.

Only issue is if you RMA the card, the backplates have to come off, and you'll end up having to move the sticker again. I moved mine to an open area of the pcb, and then took a picture of it before covering it with the bp. Looks awesome by the way.

I really like the EK blocks now. At first I was not really happy with the look and physical feel of them because they have plastic which is not my favorite material in water cooling or any cooling for that matter. I ran Quad DD GTX 580 for almost 3 years and loved the look feel and performance of them. I am however an individual that will take function over form if you have to compromise either. With the Quad Titans running EK blocks I am only 2 degrees above ambient when idling, and after running benchmarks for 2 days I only am 19 degrees above ambient so I would say they are pretty awesome.
