I use VVR + Vsync on my LG CX.  Refresh is set to 120Hz so VRR takes care of everything between 40 and 116fps, then Vsync prevents any tearing as you hit 120fps.

Prefer to use it as it seems to make games look better overall.

I play only competitive games so I disable V-sync. It ads to much input lag and lower fps which results in even more input lag.

Good, but i think you really need to go all-in on it and get a monitor that's g-sync ultimate (not just compatible).

Hate it. Invest in a monitor with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). Makes every single gaming experience much more enjoyable. If that's not an option, use RivaTuner to cap your frames at 60, it provides very smooth frame times without introducing input lag. even in SP games, the input lag makes the experience less enjoyable.

I’ve heard a lot of mixed opinions about VSync and how it can reduce screen tearing but also increases input delay and I’m not sure whether it’s better to have on or off, so what do y’all think?

It's all come down to personal preference depending on what type of game you're playing and what kind of monitor you have.

I preffer to not use it. Only in some LIDLE games, wich has a screen-tearing problems i use it.

If you have Gsync or freesync you can disable Vsync, if not its really up to you depending on your level of screen tear.
