I think some of us should post personal reviews of the cards once we recieve them so that people waiting in line can get a good idea from the normal consumer. It'll help some people decide if they even want to stay in the queue or wait for other cards.

Email support, explain your situation. But more than likely you'll have to purchase the extended warranty to be eligible.

If you’re asking if you can apply for a step-up on a card that you received from step-up, then I do not believe they do that.
When they auto add your step-up card to your account, it will be ineligible for step-up,

I am on Step 4 and have an open RMA as well. It says "Verifying Transaction". My credit card cleared immediately in Step 3 so I am not sure what is being verified. What does yours have for a status?

My guess is we'll get step 5 today. From what I've noticed from step two to step three there was almost a 24hr delay. I paid yesterday as well and the payment posted according to my bank. The status under 'My Products' says "Verifying Transactions", I assume the do a manual verification of funds and then issue an RMA#.

My "verifying transaction" lasted a day (maybe 2), so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thats alot of packing, and funny at the same time, considering amazon gives no "care"(really wanted to curse) about how they ship products. I received my 2080 in a plastic bag like you would get shoes, or clothing in with no extra padding. Good thing the card has 2 inches of padding in its self.

Received Step 5 earlier today (10/28). Will be sending my 2070 out tomorrow. Glad I kept the original box it came in so I don't have to worry about the padding but I am still going to put that box in a larger one with some bubble wrap just to be on the safe side :D

That is how amazon sent mine. Lol but I believe the card has to be in working condition when Evga receives it. What would happen is if it breaks you just get the insurance price back. Then you would have to get lucky and flat out buy one.

After spending more than $800 for the new 3080 card - I won't be skimping on packaging. It looks like EVGA step up will reject any damaged cards. It also looks like it wants un-damaged retail boxes as well. Mine is in good shape - and I want to keep it that way!
