Finally got my card today 10/21. Had to move fans in my Fractal Meshify C to fit red plastic part in. 3mm off the shroud and it would have been fine. Not as heavy as I expected either.
do you have an aio in front ? i dont think my meshify c will be able to take the 3080 ftw bc i have a 360mm radiator nzxt x73

Do you have a rad in the front? I checked fractals website and said clearance would be good.
I did I had to put the fans in the front and rad on inside. My ram does not allow for top mount rad so I rigged some small shims to extend the front mesh out a little jammed my 120,s in there. It worked out just fine. I was able to get 15017 on TimeSpy with just memory clock on a 8700k. Would be easy to get much higher with a newer CPU and a healthy overclock.

I bought a 2080 super in July. The fact that I get to upgrade to a 3080 for a few dollars more is insane. I can wait a few months if I have to because with any other company I'm stuck with a 2080s permanently. And there were a few people who got to step 2 so there was some progress.

I was getting frustrated even though I told myself “it’s going to be a long wait”, then I read Jatty’s post. Yeah, a brand new 2080 super ftw3 as a placeholder is not a bad spot to be in.
What I need to focus on is being happier for people that do get their step ups, because that’s less people in front of me!

Something we all need to realize is there are more people in the step up than on that spreadsheet. For all we know there could have been 50 cards this week but only 6 are on the post or even decided to respond. If you look, there are people from even earlier on 9/17 that never responded. So take the list with a grain of salt and try to be patient. We are all going to get our cards. Remember it’s just a graphics card, not food or water.

I was moved through the process so yes there was Literally progress. The form is not the end all be all list, its only the forum users. Plenty of users are out there that don't even visit the forums.

Just like the notification queue - the spreadsheets likely don't even make up a fraction of the total people... It does suck that step ups don't seem to be getting as much priority as the email notifications, but it is what it is I guess. At the end of the day, I guess they aren't all that eager to take back used cards and sell us brand new ones for the difference in cost. The fact that EVGA offers this program at all it pretty insane and we should probably just be thankful for that. Although I'm not happy about having to play CP2077 on a 2070 Super, at least I have something to hold me over.

You basically get to rent a GPU for free by applying the entire cost of that to a new one. Of course Step-up is not the priority.

We are extremely lucky to that EVGA even offers this program. I have a 2080s ftw ultra and stepping up to 3080 for like 90 bucks plus shipping. I mean that’s pretty awesome. I want my new card bad too but I am happy for those people getting their new cards. Less people ahead of me now lol

As I am all the way down at 9/26, I'm thinking I might have a better chance at snagging one for MSRP when it's in stock and then sell the one EVGA sends me in Step-Up..whenever that may be. Really would like to get my hands on a 3080 before Cyberpunk release.

It depends on demand and supply.
I would think at this point its more about manufacturing capacity and quality control. They already know the demand is there, it's just all about getting that supply in the pipeline.

Is there anyone concerned about the resale value of the RTX 3080 cards? I just watched the latest video from Moore's Law is Dead and it is looking very likely that AMD's Big Navi (6800xt) is going to dominate 3080 in rasterization performance while achieving similar ray-tracing performance as 2080 Ti. Also Big Navi comes with more VRAM (16 GB) as well. I have a feeling Nvidia is getting surprised (and shocked) by these developments...

Until we see actual real gaming benchmarks we won't really know. AMD has had cards that benched great in synthetic benchmarks but fell behind in gaming before. I'd love to see AMD be competitive again with higher end NVIDIA cards though.
