Just got FedEx confirmation that package was delivered at 10:07am PST. I didn't print and attach the barcode EVGA sent along (unfortunately don't have ink for my printer), but made sure to include the RMA # on the shipping label. Hopefully that means a not too delayed turnaround!

On your products page has it showed up under Received or does it still say pending?  I know the turn around is given a window possibility of a few days.  I'm just wondering how long it takes for them to show that they received your card.

Still shows as pending. I'll be refreshing the page occasionally throughout the day though, so I'll update once the status changes.

I googled the subject and found in another thread a reply that stated it won't show as received until they ship out your new card.  I'm not sure if this is still true or applies to step-up.  It was an official response to a rma thread.

Gotcha. Thanks for sharing. Honestly, so long as they ship the 3080 by Wednesday, I'm happy. I selected 2nd Day Air for the comeback, so just want it in time to enjoy my weekend gaming.
On the off topic, I played Jedi: Fallen Order on my Xbox over the weekend. Pretty crazy how different the gameplay quality is between the Xbox and PC. Never would have noticed the differences before my first PC build in July. Not trying to start a debate over which is better, but the money spent to build a top notch gaming PC definitely feels worth it.

It just seems like step up really wouldn't be a priority for evga. To me. Why not just hold the majority of you inventory to make cold hard cash. Why would they even put a rush on buying back older cards? Just really doesn't make sense. I joined on 9/19. I'm not expecting my card before Jan.

I mean, this program alone has probably granted them a lot of brand loyalty by customers. I know that I'm kind of locked into evga GPUs and I would have picked up a PSU from them had they had the models I wanted in stock.

It also helps that their card, as far as I understand, is performing the best. And demand is crazy high. I get the math says to push the cards out for brand new full price purchases, but pushing a few out on the side for the step up question probably nets them future brand new purchases that make it worth it.

having done a step up before, I can say I specifically bought a 2070 Super in July in case rumors of an October launch were true
Also, they're able to flip the cards they receive on their website to make back some of the cost, they can sell a single older gpu twice this way, even if they sell them as refurb/b stock
there is a decent number of people who never buy current gen hardware for driver maturity and/or for discounts, the brand loyalty/good pr is a happy bonus (as EVGA cards are usually top performers, like mentioned)
i'll never hate on a brands valuing their consumers
supply limitations are from further up the chain anyway, and im just happy there's any option as opposed to other top performers like Asus where you buy it and that's it.

Dang, I didn't even see the attached barcode in the step 5 email until reading your post just now. But yeah, I also had the RMA # very visible on the package, no issues. EVGA has received and shipped out my new card all on the same day. Now the long flight back to Korea.

Nice! I still haven't received my shipping notification, so not sure mine will be shipped out today if you got yours. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Just honestly hoping to have the card by Friday.

LOL.  You said barcode and I'm thinking..."what barcode?".  The Step 5 e-mail didn't say Anything about an attachment.  My PC was down for the count since, you know, I had to pull the GPU out to ship it, so my inbox on my phone looks different.  Lo and behold there's a freakin attachment at the bottom of the e-mail.  SMH.  Seems like others have had no issue, so hoping mine is the same.

Hmm. I requested my Step Up on 9/19 with a 2070 Super and uploaded my invoice. I only see my Step 1 email still, nothing about Step 2 or 3 or onwards. Is this normal?

Yep.  We're only up to about 9:42 am EST on 9/17 for Step-Ups.  You're probably looking at late November at the rate it's going.

Honestly, given the times and the current situation the world is in right now I do not understand why this process is so slow.  I imagine these guys make a decent profit off of each GPU and it makes no sense to not be turning and burning a workforce 24/7, doing 8 hour shifts. I understand it's not under there control, but even so.... The suppliers should be operating with those hours.  That's ez money and I know for a fact, "They tuk r' jerb"..  Come on folks.  Lets put a little pep in those steps.

Ah I wouldn't even mind my card in December! I bought a 2070 super the day or two after Step Up was announced to replace my 980ti while I wait for the new card -- so I am content

You get what you pay for, and consoles are always subpar I'm not afraid to say it lol. I grew up with them since the 80's and still purchase them out of habit. Last console I really enjoyed was the first gen PS3 dual boot Linux!

This isn't how manufacturing works, nor is it how any of this works. You need to a have a trained and competent workforce, an available supply of raw resources, the logistics to get materials both in and out, down time for machines and people, more management and supervision, people willing to work the awful hours. You can't just say OK we're working 8 shifts round the clock and snap your fingers.  It takes months of planning, even then one issue in the chain it slows down.  Just be patient and your card will come.

After mine was received yesterday morning it just sat at pending as well.  I know they have that multi day window for processing.  It's just when you see so many shipped the same day you just want your card.

Don't forget most of the manufacturing for these cards is done overseas and cheap labour rates.

I mean lets be real. We are waiting for graphics cards. Non of this is life saving or detrimental to our well being. If it was, I would hope you'd have a backup solution to take care of the needs. The cards will come, whether its this week, next month, or months later. I get it we are all excited and want the new cards but id be willing to bet none of us NEED the new cards. I think a little patience will go a long way. I stopped checking my status and this post as often because it doesnt help it go any faster. Taking your mind off of it will help it, trust me. Also this isnt targeted to anyone specific, just for those who need to hear it.

I see. Mine still shows as pending for "Shipped Out", so I'm assuming mine won't be getting shipped out today in that case. Thanks for sharing!

After mine was received yesterday morning it just sat at pending as well.  I know they have that multi day window for processing.  It's just when you see so many shipped the same day you just want your card.

Anyway you are not alone!

I actually got the random UPS notification that it was shipped out late last night to my e-mail. Was pleasantly surprised to see it, and it will be arriving tomorrow. Have to say that I'm very satisfied with the step-up process (I know that product availability is hard, hope the queue starts to go faster for everyone remaining). I'll definitely be a loyal EVGA customer going forward. For those still waiting, the wait will be worth it, just be a little patient is all I can stress. I felt a little down two weeks ago when I wasn't included in that queue, but the batches are getting bigger and more requests are being serviced each week. Your time will come.

For me, this card is going to play amazing games @ 4K on my living room tv. It goes to 120hz @4K, so I happily say I shouldn't be limited by the tv. I'm so pumped for this!

Just got FedEx confirmation that package was delivered at 10:07am PST. I didn't print and attach the barcode EVGA sent along (unfortunately don't have ink for my printer), but made sure to include the RMA # on the shipping label. Hopefully that means a not too delayed turnaround!

Dang, I didn't even see the attached barcode in the step 5 email until reading your post just now. But yeah, I also had the RMA # very visible on the package, no issues. EVGA has received and shipped out my new card all on the same day. Now the long flight back to Korea.

Glad to hear that!

I got zero notifications and just pending on my product page.  I did the overnight ups for return and ups has already been here today.  Maybe I'll get the notification tomorrow.

Needs to be said. Complaining about manufacturing processes and that people should be working longer shifts so that you can get the latest graphics card is really not a good use of yours or anyones time. Would be great if people could try to use this thread more as it was intended; tracking step-up queue.

Steve from GamesNexus has a video where he asked ppl to calm down and said the new gfx card is not “food or water.” Also it’s not like your old gfx card (whether it’s the 10 or 20 series) all of sudden stopped working. If you are inpatient like me, would recommend either getting up early every single day to wait at the microcenter, or survey the Best Buy website to snag one to hold you over until the step up gets to you. You can then sell either of the cards for significant values on selling platforms like eBay or Mercari.

Just thought I'd check in again with my experience. Altogether, the whole shipping process went very smoothly. From the day I shipped mine out, I received the 3080 back from EVGA relatively quickly. I think it took, in total, about a week and a half. For those of you expecting one soon, I thought I would report back with an issue I had, and it's regarding the 3x8 pin layout. I want to be clear here - regardless of what EVGA Jacob may have said on Twitter, I would recommend you do not try to use a 1x8, and a 2x6+2 daisy chain cable. Use 3x8 pins instead. Initially, I tried to use a daisy chained cable, since my CableMod kit originally came with only two straight 8 pin VGA cables. However, I was frequently getting black screen crashes, specifically while not gaming. I would get them while browsing Chrome, and/or just idling on the desktop. For a short time, I switched back to 2x8 pins, and one daisy chained cable for the third slot, just with one of the 6+2s hanging off the side. This totally corrected the problem, but looked godawful so I ordered an extra 8 pin cable from CableMod.

For those interested, here's a photo of my build - I'm not trying to dangle the carrot in front of you or anything; I want to show what it looks like in the case, because I (among many others) was quite worried about the red accents totally throwing off the color scheme and making things ugly. I was surprised to see how relatively mute the red is once installed. In photos of just the card, it is quite vibrant in comparison, but in a real world setting, I don't think it's quite so bad. That being said, I think it will definitely pop more if your case itself isn't black. If you have a white case for example, I think it would show a lot more.

All in all, the entire process was super smooth. Many props to EVGA for providing such a great program to their buyers. I've recently switched from Gigabyte after an awful RMA experience with them, so I'm glad to see the level of care and dedication EVGA gives to their customer base.

The hour arm on their clock is stuck at 9. They're waiting for a new clock to arrive.
