No new ones are being added to the original list. You can add yourself to the google docs version as linked in the first post if you like. The OP is only being updated for Step 2 progression on the existing list as it gives everyone a good idea where they are and how fast it's moving.

Step 5 completed 10/16. Got the RMA# 10/15, but it was too late for me to do anything about it. And it cost me $72 to send it over from FL to CA with $800 insurance and priority mail. UPS wanted $141 for the same service. $52 for Ground (7 days). There was no middle ground except with USPS, so they win. Should get there Monday according to the tracking #. I doubt I'll get it next week, but if I do, then that'll be the best of pricy shipping situation.

Ya I probably should have explored shipping it with the Postal Service. Sounds like it would have been cheaper and gotten there sooner based on your experience. Mine gets there Monday as well based on tracking number, even though it arrived in Walnut, CA by 6am this morning (11 miles away). I paid for 2nd Day Air, so hoping it'll come by next Friday. Here's to hoping your card gets to you before the weekend as well!

Sounds pretty familiar. I asked for Priority Mail Express which the USPS website claimed was available and for the package size would be around $89 which is just the shipping. The USPS website also claimed you could get the 1 day service. When I went to boxing/shipping place that I've used for years. They told me it was 1 or 2 days and the price was about the same. With the insurance it was around $100. So I shipped mine out on 10/14 it left the local post office in Western NY around 5:30pm and took over 30 hours to show up in Rochester, NY (where they fly mail out of more or less). It left there 11:58pm 10/15 and today just shows the standard "in transit on time" BS with a new delivery date of 10/17. The cheap option I was offered was $59 and they claimed it would be there Tuesday. I'm not sure if that was UPS or FedEx as they do all of them. So I probably should have just gone with that in my case. Or just done the boxing myself or just paid for packaging and then gone to the post office directly. I used to sell a lot of stuff on Ebay so I just got in the habit of having this place box and ship all my stuff. Some of the USPS prices they gave me compared to looking at the actual USPS charts didn't seem to add up either. So for others that get their stuff ready to ship in... you may want to be more diligent than I was apparently. Also when I talked to my local post office they claimed that 1 day was available and the price I was charged seems to be the price for that but my package actually just went priority mail so another phone call to make... Oh well (lol) almost done hopefully. At this point I'm really glad I paid for insurance. You know with how things are going *.*.

Step 4 to step 5 takes 24-48 hours to verify the transaction then sends an RMA # when it hits step 5, I jumped the gun and after step 4 sent mine out overnight using the RMA ID on the product page (so it landed on the 48hr side). Step 5 hit same day my card arrived and they shipped out the new card same day :) Don't know if I recommend this but worked out well for me. <3 EVGA Also agree with others that shipping has gotten expensive AF ($150 to overnight UPS MN>CA)

Size of the box affects shipping cost. The only box I had was a blue apron box that could give the 2" of space around the card for cushion (as recommended by EVGA), so that increased the price a little. I know I couldn't have used the same box Best Buy shipped the 2070 super in because it was form fitting...0 cushion. It's all good. Getting the 3080 and didn't have to stress at all for the past 4 weeks. Win win IMO.

You probably got a better price for the APO address. I know I get better shipping prices from someone I know shipping from an APO versus someone using a domestic company for international shipping. Here are some of the issues/options I ran into 1) $52 was the Cheapest offered to me, which is 7 days; no guarantee delivery. 2) The RMA# is only good for 14 days of issuance. Any delay plus the time it takes for me to ship it, it could potentially expire. 3) $72 was the next step up for me. There's nothing between those. UPS at $52, then USPS at $72 for Priority and insured. It's not like I wanted to pay those prices; it's about weighing the time you really need to get the product to EVGA within the time allotted. I chose Ground Shipping to ship the 3080 card back to me. I have no issues waiting for the card to come. It was just a potential problem of getting the card to EVGA. that's my decision making process anyways.

Understandable. However, the very first line of the step 5 email says if you require more time to contact CS, pretty sure a valid tracking number showing postal service in possession is enough to satisfy everyone. They just don't want to be "holding" cards for unmotivated individuals that would sit on their current card knowing they have one tucked away with their name on it.

Eh. Just let people do what they want. Glad you got your shipping super cheap. Everyone else didn’t, and not for lack of trying. And not just cause they’re “nutty” either.

The cheapest I could get which would take a week compared to Priority Express wasn't much different in price. The place I ship from wouldn't even really give me a quote on overnight and just laughed. Yes the prices are nutty and yes they have expenses. There are a few reasons *I* would have personally paid to get this process done asap. I used to work at a place where we shipped products to customers all over the world. We did a lot of APO/FPO shipping as well. My personal experience is that it is best to have the product in the shippers hands as little as possible. So that's why I like overnight.... On the flip side my package is running late so I am not getting anything done any faster regardless of price. I also don't have a backup gpu for my pc so it's offline during this process. I'm also not sure what happens with a Step-Up should the shipper lose or damage your product on the way in. Sure you have insurance if you paid for it but, you also are going to have to wait for that. I mean will they let you pay to finish your step-up or are you simply left holding the insurance check trying to get a card.... which goes back to the shipping company having your product for as short a time as possible.

keeler521 Haha, I feel ya man. I had a buddy tell me to let him know what I think of it when I get mine (shipped mine this week from Korea so using a 970 for a few weeks). Coming from a 2080 Super on a 1080p monitor ... I told him I already knew what I think... I won't see a dang difference! haha. but for $65 I'm set for a while and in the market now for a respectable 1440p monitor. Too many options, I wish there were only like 5 to pick from. Anyone have great options please send them my way, I want a 32in at 144+hz, gsync preferred.
I just picked up an LG 34GN850-B. Slick monitor. I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

Well Step-Up being only some unknown percentage of stock. I was looking at the nowinstock tracker and outside of Best Buy showing some cards on the 15th that sold out in a few minutes. There wasn't even a listing in the stock history since the 9th. They track a decent amount of sites and all brands. That's not really a happy stock tracker if you are trying to get a product.... If big navi launches and suddenly massive stock of rtx 3000 cards appears per that one rumor. It's just going to look even worse in my opinion. Oh and that "in stock" alert from the 15th was only Best Buy and covered quite a few brands even some FE cards. Are Amazon and Newegg really getting nothing?

No regret snagging a 3080 FE to hold me over while waiting for the FTW3 so I can start playing Watch Dogs: Legion when it comes out soon. It’s a beast of a card, and will flip it for above MSRP.

Unless MLID is true, I don't think my 10/3 number is coming any time soon. Still have some hopes for the 9/21 XC3 and 9/22 FTW gaming notify coming sooner. Anyone know when the 3070 setup will go live? Also if I cancel the step up within 90 days, can I immediately start a new one or do I need to wait a bit before it becomes available? Thinking I am gonna just cancel the step up for 3080 since it's a lost cause atm.

Definitely not canceling the notifications but the step up seems redundant since that is a 10/3 date vs 9/21 and 9/22 for the notifies. Unless 10/3 ftw 3 ultra step up comes sooner than the 9/21-22 notifications for the XC3 /FTW3 gaming which is a possibility I guess given all they are producing is the Ultra.

I'm hoping for the biggest shipment for step-ups they've had yet. I'm like 15 names down on the list. At the rate names have been checked off, I'm still looking at a couple weeks. This would be the best week for me to be without my computer, though. I'm going to be picking up the lumber tomorrow to start on a custom gaming/studio/work desk and it would be perfect timing to finish the desk and get my card back. Plus I have a new PSU, cooling system, and a 2nd SSD for a RAID config to install and wouldn't mind doing it all in one go. So excited, hope they push the step-ups harder the next few weeks and make a real dent in the list.

so what happens when someone's 2080 ti, 2080 super or what ever 20x0 card dies and they can't step up, but still under warranty? Is EVGA going to start production for just one card? For replacement purposes or send a 3080 replacement? The stepup helps them keep some stock of older cards for warranty purposes, without having to give a brand new card out to the customer as a replacement.
