I added both people to my post above. Probably I will make one post per topic page and will edit it until page rollovers. From another topic: tschmalzried Yeah, I got mine probably two weeks after the 30's released when I realized I'd not be getting one anytime soon. Spent like $550 on the 2070 super, enrolled it in the BS stepup program, and now 5 months later seeing it's still on day one... So... now I have question to EVGA: what if 40XX series will be available before Step-Up process will be done? Or even worse: what if 30XX series will be discontinued before Step-Up process will be done? Will it be possible to Step-Up to RTX 4060 Ti( or other named direct successor for RTX 3060 Ti)? Obviously 90 days will be expired at this moment, so canceling Step-Up and start it again is not an option.

Looks like today was drop of 3090, 3080 and 3070! Let's hope that there was a 3060 Ti too. If you received Step 2 - please report it. TaranMayerDoes anyone have an estimate as to how long it will take to get through day one? It's been 3.5 months, this is getting kinda ridiculous. I can roll a dice or try to use crystal ball to do estimate  Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to make estimate that will be more reliable than options above based on available information

It's crazy they haven't even got past day 1 at 10:00am for this yet. ****... Over 3 months and nothing. I am on day 2 of 3060 launch at 9:31 still on step 1.
4000 seires will be out before we get any info from evga at all on this. Kinda ridiculous.
I want to know what happens if this is discontinued? Do we get a choice on a different card?

I've read in other forums that the notify queue (new customers) takes priority over the step-up queue (existing customers) for a given 30-series model. Is this documented (confirmed) anywhere? I'd like to think that EVGA allocates cards to both of these queues independently. If this is true, and given the notify queue for various 3060 Ti models hasn't moved much since launch... why offer the step-up program at all?

However, this is highly unlikely to happen and would not be something I would worry about. I hope for 30 series sooner, or 40 series later.

You're unlikely to get anything resembling an official response on "how things are allocated" for the various queues. There has been movement in this queue which is in some ways more than I'd expect as the step up queue line begins well after the actual product notification line did and that line is way longer than this one.
If I had to guess though my suspicion is they may be splitting their allocations based on your distance from the start of the notify queue at least right now. The actual product purchases notifies for the 3060Ti are half way through hour two from the start of that queue; the step up queue here looks to have completed the first hour of this line as well with no movement on hour 2. So order of priority might look like...
- Hour 1 Notifies
- Hour 1 Step-up
- Hour 2 Notifies
- Hour 2 Step-up
etc...
Whatever the ordering and priority is though if you weren't in on 3060Ti launch/pre-launch notify day you're sure to be in for a long wait same as the launch day people have been for some time now. There is not much sense in worrying about it. That said the Step-Up queue is certainly not a way to "cut the notify line" for anyone hoping it might be. The line here is shorter sure but the allocation amounts are likely not going to match what is happening for the actual notify queue and even then EVGA has had less than 20 of these cards to sell direct through any of these queues in the last month anyways. No one is getting these cards in North America because they simply don't physically exist to be sold.

All of this is still "speculation". No one knows the actual numbers and the forum queues don't account for the people that haven't reported applying for a notify or receiving it.

Sure, the actual number may be more than 20 because not everyone is paying attention to the notify forum at all and others may not be reporting in results but the point still stands that as a matter of scale EVGA likely isn't getting in thousands of these cards per shipment. The number is most likely measured in tens, rather than hundreds or thousands if any of this particular SKU comes in at all.

I canceled my step-up and sold my 3060 XC, you can take me off the list. I got a 6800 XT from the AMD drop on 3/25, and a 3080 FE from the BB drop on 4/2. If you can't/don't want to wait for the step-up, my formula was persistence and a lot of time. I highly recommend joining one of the Discord servers dedicated to stock alerts (fixitfixitfixit and datalover are excellent). I wish you all the best of luck in your journey to graphic greatness...

Late to the game (got a 3060 XC recently), but thought the 3060 Ti would offer a decent performance bump for not much more in price. Here's hoping the step up happens sometime this calendar year.

Are these cards even being made still? I find it hard to believe that the line hasn't moved past morning of launch 4.5 months after release. What are they only able to make 100 cards a month? Or are they all being sold to miners in mass, gamers be damned? I would of thought by now there would be some movement.
It's especially frustrating seeing all these scalpers on eBay and fb marketplace with boxes full of unopened 3000 series cards. Or mining people post screen shots with 5 plus cards wired up in parallel.
If it is a shortage than how are these @#&$ people able to get cards and scam people.
My 2060 is stilling running strong so it is what it is, I just wish we had some transparency from nvidia, evga, etc... Feels like nvidia doesn't care as they are getting their scalper/miner money. They will start to care when peoples cards break and there is no replacements to buy, which lead to no pc gamers to play new games which will turn off developers from making new games for pc at all. You can't run a graphics card company and cater to greedy miners instead of the gamers who are the people who make the industry possible.

First, the miners and scammers are the guys waiting in line at MicroCenter overnight and/or are willing to buy the inflated price from the scammers, for both of these groups of people tracking down these cards is a "job". Second, what you see in the FB marketplace and EBay and from those miner photos are many different brands and specs of 3000 series cards from all over the place. This step-up here is waiting in line for a single SKU from a single manufacturer. So this is both a matter of not that many 3000 series chips are being produced at all at this point due to the chip shortage but then only a percentage of that output goes to EVGA, an even smaller percentage of those are going to be binned from Nvidia for the 3060Ti family (vs performing well enough to be a 3070), and an even smaller percentage of those chips being made are going to end up binned by EVGA to fulfill this premier SKU (vs the lower speced 3060Ti models). There just aren't that many of these things being made. It definitely sucks but at this point I'm honestly just kind of hoping they just pass us over for the 3000 series and put us in line for the next generation Nvidia thing I'd imagine is coming later this year.

Was pleased to get the RTX 3060 XC Gaming - but would like the 3060 Ti for obvious reasons. Just changed my mind and went for the 3070, then changed it back and stuck with the 3060 Ti FTW Ultra Step 1 - May 17, 2021 Step 2 - Doomed. Step 3 - Changed Mind, resubmitted. Step 4 - Doomed Ultra FTW

I’ve been on step 1 since 12/31/20 for a 3060ti. Wishing I had requested a higher end card since they seem to be filling faster. Is that true?
