Hi,
I need help, I have  4 - 16 GB memory chips installed but the bios only shows 32 GB rather than 48GB of memory. any reason why its not recognizing the added memory?
I would appreciate any help. Thank you

You sure the missing 2 are in the slot all the way? Is the lock on the slot catching the sticks? If your good there it could mean there's too much pressure on your CPU cooler/block and it's bending pins out of alignment or maybe you need a bios update for mobo. Don't do a bios update on a unstable board or it may fail.

could have bent pins under the CPU ... if everything is properly installed

Is the voltage set to Auto or manual, is XMP on or Off ?

Of course remove power from the wall before removing / installing any thing

Check with only 2 sticks at a time & run a test on them ... could have some bad sticks

Make sure no "stuff" is blocking the RAM slot .... use a strong light & make sure it is clean in the slot

Use the RAM slots per the manual when testing
