I've seen tons of install threads for this on a FE card. Are there any instructions when dealing with lets say a 1080ti SC Black Gaming ( which this should be compatible with)

I also have this question lol. I've see. A few videos dealing with the FE but not the SC black. And I've seen a few posts saying the back plate does not fit from the hybrid kit, even though it's listed as compatible on the EVGA product page.

My guess is that you don't see many people putting the hybrid kit on the SC black because they didn't buy the black with the intent of putting another cooling solution on it.  IMO the FE cards are more common place for the hybrid upgrade simply because of the step up program.  I would never have bought a FE card, but with the step-up option it was a no-brainer.  EVGA could easily have charged me a premium to get a 1080ti with the hybrid cooler pre-installed, but that's not how it's set up.

Yes, it is.  You can see that by going the compatibility tab on the product page for the cooler.  I'm waiting for it to be in stock myself so I can throw it on my SC2 that I've having a lot of thermal problems with.

EVGA, could you please offer some insight as to why the TitanX/1080ti HYBRID Waterblock Cooler, Cooling, 400-HY-5388-B1 400-HY-5598-B1 has been listed for $119.99 for the past week and just now shot up to $179.99?
