I'm taking my gpu off water and reinstalling the stock air cooler and I can't find the backplate screws for the life of me. Anyone know what size I need/where I can get them? I'm in the US.

Oof! Good luck with that. It may be better to contact EVGA directly to see if maybe you could order a replacement screw set. Otherwise, do you keep your GPU boxes? That’s where the screws go after I put them in a ziplock bag, and the same goes for the backplate and cooling shroud. It just makes it much easier to keep track of everything.

Yep....I actually put all the original screws back where they came from within the stock cooler and stock backplate (you can sort of quazi re-assemble the Stock air cooler with the backplate...also put the thermal pads back on the air Cooler, then wrap the whole thing up in celophan (saran wrap) n back in the box.....you could re-assemble half snapped without much trouble ;)
 
For OP...best to simply send Evga Support a message and ask them the exact spec for the screws and then go shopping...

Thanks, everyone! I messaged EVGA support. I've read that I might need m2x8.5mm screws but I can't really find them anywhere. All I'm seeing is either m2x8mm or m2.5x8mm.

How did this turn out in the end? I have a Hydro Copper that i am looking to make into a air cooled system due to leakage. Did you happen to find a solution to the problem? 
 
I also need the X looking thing https://ibb.co/z70Jt89 that goes on the "top" side of the card.
 
I know this thread is 2 years old, but it looks like you might have some insight into my sourcing issue. 

I sent the information you requested to the conversation I was having with Support@evga.com. I've said it in the conversations with them... but EVGA has by far the best customer service I have ever ran into.
