Hey Guys

I'm a little unhappy ATM, Titan X will not work in my new system all I get is a blank screen and the motherboard reports d6 error "display not detected" asrock x99x motherboard.
The Titan X works on my old GEN1 i7 system and my old GTX580 is working in the new system.
I have update bios firmware to 1.80 the latest
I have tried different slots
i put both card in the new system windows did not see the Titan X

I don't know if it is a motherboard/firmware issue or a video card issue...

What kind of cable and connection are you using?  Some display port to DVI cables only work one way and are not reversible.

Make sure you have your mobo's latest BIOS too.  Then if you have the 580 to troubleshoot with, make sure the display settings are set to PCIe Init Display.  Also, you may need to check the UEFI settings in the BIOS.  Try On/Off if possible.  Also try different display outputs if possible.  It is 99% a mobo BIOS issue (out of date or setting) since the Titan X works in your old system and X99 has been a total crapshoot in terms of BIOS support overall.

Make sure the PCI-E slot is set to GEN3 inside the BIOS and not AUTO or GEN2.

DVI, display port and HDMI did not work with the GTX580 if i didn't connect any cable to it the system would continue boot to windows.
I know this when connecting the dvi cable and windows desktop comes straight up.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS? Is the card plugged into the very first PCI-E slot?
