Its worth to someone who is willing to buy.  Probably for nostalgic value?  At least 3dfx lives on forever in Nvidia now :P

The Voodoo 3 2000 PCI was my first graphics card. Even though I have no use for it, I still have it in the original box.  Great work, Nate!

I know nothing about this card. can it be sli with 2 of these? was that tech available back then?

Yes, 3DFX created SLI technology and you could SLI two Voodoo cards back then. I'm not so sure you can do it with this one though since it has 4 GPU's "SLI'ed" on one board. Plus due to the rarity of the board, it would be pretty hard to find another to try it with.

other then the idea there not at all the same
and only pci voodoo2 and banshee cards could be sli'd
all other cards have on sli or is running in sli on one pcb

A little travel back in time.

I ran this in one of these back in the day early 2000. CPU's overclocked of course.
Could really kick some butt in online gaming at that time with this system
Be in game waiting while others was still loading up. lol

I threw most of my stuff out from that vintage.  There is this one motherboard I kept just for capacitors for when I do Voltmods.

Updates on the cosmetic plate.

Here you can see how thick the letters here are:

An overall finished logo:

A little bit of cleaning up, but not bad for my first copper inlay.

A close up of the end of that swoosh:

0.8mm thick.  Not a good picture of it, but it is just a cell phone.

A view of my backyard:

Polished it a little bit more.  Now to put everything back together...

Stay tuned & subscribe!

Nate, as always, killer work!
Can't wait to see some bench numbers from it too, see what was gained from this mod.  Many fond memories of old Voodoo cards form back in the day..... SLI in the original Unreal, 3dFX enhanced versions of many old games.... ahhh good times.

I got an old benchmark around, that I used to use on my old Voodoo cards, and my EARLY NVidia cards, like my Riva 128's, which I think would be way cool to round this project off with.  Final Reality.  Be a great conclusion, full water on a Voodoo, and a FR run!

Gotta say one of the best looking blocks I have ever seen, so VERY clean.

Lol. And about your 2 year old's favorite movie, my now 8 year old watched it all the time when she was younger. I'm surprised she didn't wear out a hard drive with the constant reads from that sector.

Always thought that 3dfx badge was oh so nice...  NVidia marketing has nothing on 3dfx.    I would love to have just one of those cover plates to place into my case...

Meant to comment on this one, too, but those pics of the block just blew my mind...

Wolf, that's a Voodoo3 box, but you've got a Voodoo5 5500 card in the pic, there.  Box <=> card mismatch.
