Title. Thanks a lot. I don't have a whole lot of money these days and have been going through very hard times. That $23 shipping was honestly more than I could afford, much less a new card. I was disappointed in that 1060's "midrange" performance anyway (remember when midrange was actually good and affordable?). Whatever. Guess I'll be on integrated for the rest of the year. This greatly sours my impression of EVGA.

Do you suspect any kind of water damage? Did you follow the packing instructions?

I'm asking because you forgot to state the reason for your rejection.

    Hello,

I have sent you a PM so I can look in to why this happened and see if there is anything I might be possibly able to assist with. Please respond to that PM.

RMA number is 5421180511434523. I didn't suspect water damage but they did and the pictures they replied with seem conclusive. I have no idea how that could have happened though because my pump is still sealed and the only possible thing I can think of would be the high humidity level of the room the PC was in, but since they say it's water damage and the pictures support that, I believe it.

It's a major bummer; this year has been a never ending onslaught of emergency expenses and I won't be able to buy another card for quite some time, especially since I swore this would be my last midrange one. I'm very frustrated about this but if nothing can be done, I understand.

    I'm sorry to hear that.
If the water-cooler is still in warranty I would contact the manufacturer and let them know that it burned my GPU and provide the evidence from EVGA.

FuzedBox, where are you located? Humidity is definitely a factor that could have caused an issue. I am sorry to hear you are going through hard times and this definitely doesnt help at all.

I'm located in North GA. In general this region isn't humid, but Hall county is hotter and wetter than others. It doesn't help that health and financial reasons forced me to move into my mom's basement (literally) for the time being and humidity is a real problem down here. I've got saturants littered around but they don't do much and real dehumidifiers cost a pretty penny.

A little bit ashamed of lashing out at EVGA last night, but things really have been awful for a while now and crappy events just keep piling up.

Edit: My AIO is definitely not under warranty anymore, and I wouldn't want to file a claim over it damaging my GPU even if it was, since it's not leaking and I prefer being honest. I've done some number crunching and if I play my hand right, I might be able to afford a 1080ti within three or four months, and I might be able to borrow an old 970 from a friend.
