Well guys, I'm pretty bummed. My step up ended last night at 12 PM (10 hours later the 1080ti was added to the step up program). I called EVGA and they said they have a strict policy of not letting people step up even if they are an hour over there step up program. Well I guess I will just have to make do with my 1080 which is a great card.
Sell the 1080, cut your losses and buy a 1080 ti. I did this in the past. you take a hit, but it's not like having to invest entirely again in another gpu

Got in right at 10, confirmation email received at 10:03. Pretty pumped. Stepping up from a 1080 FTW Hybrid, hopefully the founders edition won't be terribly hot/loud.

Well, I guess persistence paid off...! Though who knows how far back in the queue I'll be after the DDOS from the F5 army

I just opened up about 10-15 tabs and forced it through.
AFTER Selecting the 1080Ti Let the page refresh DO NOT press calculate final cost!

Anyone in EU able to-do it? I can see it listed on the step up page but is not an option in the list of available cards for selection when I go through to stepup.

You can also add yourself in the queue and cancel the request later.

Yep. You can wait until the very last day and it will be fine. The FE edition has a machined alluminum shroud, which is why i want it. I'm gonna put it on water as soon as I get it, so I don't even care lol. Gonna put that FE cooler on my wall.

Its not personal; I'm in the same boat as you. If only Nvidia had allowed the launch before today. Yesterday was the last day for the "newest" of my two 1080 FE cards, to do a Step-Up Happens to all of us from time to time.

They are offering a direct step up. Contact support if you wish to move up to the 1080ti Founders. Support@evga.comIt was announced in another thread.

i am going to guess this was going to be the case no matter if you got into the step up one or fifty, if you started today you're just going to be in wave two of product shipments. I thought about chancing returning the 1080 hybrid i bought last week and just trying to gamble with buying one today but im glad i didnt, sounds like it was a frustrating experience. heh, microcenter still doesn't have them in stock though. so maybe there is still a chance to swap-a-roo them directly. we'll see i guess.
