Have it set to maximum in game at 1920x1200 and it runs well on just one of my 480s.  A little chop in the cutscenes, not sure why they to stutter as they seem to run at a locked 30 FPS but the game performance is solid with just one card, averaging 43FPS with a minimum of 27 and a max of 57.  Vsync is off.

Played the first two stages last night, great game and KB and mouse work very well, the gun play feels pretty solid for a third person shooter.

Of couse SLI would make it better if its solid support, not worried about it at this resoultion.

I think the locked 30 fps  has to do with it being a console port

I guess some people have trouble reading, he said it has issues running sli, a single 480 runs fine and I am sure runs if faster than a 5870.

Telling someone to get an ATI 5870 when this thread is clearly about GTX480s is clearly being a "fan boi" yourself.

Some people seem to be confused.  Even though my 470 is "not supported", I get great performance with the settings maxed.  The game works fine on Fermis other than the 360 controller not working, at least for me, and everyone has that problem.

Wait, why do you guys state that it works fine. I'm running at 1680x1050 with all settings maxed and max AA (I think it was 16Q) and 16AF. I have vysnc enabled and literally ALWAYS have 60 fps, but every 5 seconds it drops to like 40ish fps with a noticeably slow down.

This is VERY poor optimization and I'm not sure if it's confined to the GF100 architecture. In any event, I still couldn't stop myself from continuing to play, but now have decided to wait for a patch/driver update to enjoy it fully.

Also, imho the graphics look pretty dated. Lighting and shadows are okish, but the texture really don't cut the cheese. Ok for a port, but by now means a Metro. Game play is interesting, but it's no Splinter Cell. The most SP fun I've had this yyear was with BC2 and Metro2033, followed by a very entertaining if horribly jagged (no AA) GTA4 EFLC. This is the game Fermi was really made for.

tried the new beta GTX480 drivers and still no go, this game steadily gets slower frames as you play longer.  Totally unsupported by the graphics card. Whats the word about a patch or fix?

I've heard this title is an absolutely awful port, with jagged edges and ridiculously simple gameplay with the keyboard + mouse. Plus the DRM is every bit as ridiculous as Assassin's Creed II. And now a 480 won't run it.
For $60, and the heat Ubisoft received for ACII and Activision/IW got for MW2, why are these manufacturers not figuring out that PC gamers are still a very viable market.
And rushed ports are vehemently despised.

Um, I have a single GTX 470 and I have this problem as well upon starting the game. I just ignored it.

What do you know then, the game ran fine for 5 minutes, everything set to high except AA off (res 1920x1080). Afterwards, it just slideshowing all over the place, even in the main menu! The only way to rectify this is to restart the whole game.

It is NOT just an SLI problem. I think it is a driver issue, well plus the game itself has a lot of issues (longevity, DRM, price, etc).

I was hoping to get this game but with all the problem I think I might jsut settle for the 360 version. I prefer to use the controller but I want to play it the way it was meant to be seen. If I do get the pc version, should I go for the retail version or steam?

One thing you can try. See if Nvidia has included a profile in the drivers.
Open n_v cc and un check the check box that says only game found on this computer.

After you un check that box it will in turn allow you to see all the game profiles included with the drivers.

I suggested forcing SLI via nHancer in Post #11 over a week ago, most people don't have any idea what nHancer is and why its useful I guess.  Anyways, it definitely works according to this post: http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=344539

I was off a bit or two lol, just check off 20, 22, 25 for SLI compatibility and it should work in forcing SLI.  For those that are waiting for an "official profile" from EVGA or Nvidia, that's all they're going to do, just flag those compatibility bits to get SLI working....again maybe a bit or two different.

Interesting people that drop 1,500 on GPU can't run the game. My lowly 8800GTS 640 loves it.
