The first 3080Ti I had updating the vbios fixed the display port issue. But while playing Battlefront 2 my game froze. Turned system off and back on and and black screens on HDMI and DP. EVGA stated that card failed their tests, so it died.

Now, I’m also having same issue with a 3080Ti card I received from EVGA’s RMA department.

Had a 1080Ti for backup and DDU’d the drivers, clean + shutdown. Installed the 3080Ti and this time the card isn’t recognized at all. So I can’t install drivers or update the vbios. EVGA support said these newer cards should have the updated vbios on them so I shouldn’t run into this problem but he wasn’t sure.

Nope they still have the same stock vbios which doesn’t work with display port. Who even uses HDMI in 2021 seriously?

yep had to do a similar thing for my recent 3080ti ftw3 from the que. First boot I had to use a hdmi cable. Then I had to bios update via x1 to be able to see the bios. Before booting with an hdmi I would get no picture at all with a dp cable

I just got an ABS Legend i7 10th gen, Asus z490-p motherboard, EVGA 3080ti, 16Gb g.skill trident 3200 ram, 850w GR EVGA power supply.  
 
When I unboxed it and turned it on, the front panel fans would only turn for a sec then stop, but all fan lights and graphic lights were on.  Removing devices to trouble shoot I eventually got to the RAM and reseating the RAM fixed the fan issue.  Fans are turning appropriately but at that point no video out and also no USB (my keyboard and mouse have lights that weren't turning on).  Trouble shooting again, I discovered that if I remove the 3080ti the USB ports work and the keyboard and mouse light up.  When I put the 3080ti back in none of the USB ports work and I have never gotten video out.  I pulled the motherboard CMOS battery/reset CMOS with no effect.  I swapped HDMI cables with no luck.  Still no video out.
 
Since there's no video out, I can't tell if its even getting to the BIOS boot menu -- I'm assuming its getting past that since it takes a few seconds after the fan lights/3080ti lights turn on for the keyboard and mouse lights to turn on.
 
Any ideas?

I have a RTX 3080ti FTW3. Before I had an RTX 3080ti XC in my machine but I gave it to my friend when I got the chance to get the FTW3. 
 
The first XC worked fine on my four monitors. However, now after installing the new FTW3 card I could not get the 4th monitor to recognize. I even ran the diagnostic tool DDU and updated my Mobo Bios but I still cannot get my 4th monitor (via a display port) to work. 2 DPs and the HDMI work properly but I can't get the fourth Display Port to identify the monitor. It seems like the specific port on the back of the card may be the issue because when I try different monitors on different ports it always seems to be the same one not functioning -- meaning the monitors / cables work but the same display port on the back of GPU does not work.
 
Lastly, I updated the VBIOS via the PrecisionX1 Application to 94.02.71.80.86 and still no 4th monitor through display port.
 
I know that switching cards can cause hardware / firmware / software confusion between transitions. Really hoping the card is not defective!
 
Any thoughts?

Same issues with my new rma card

Tried hdmi & display port my motherboard rings no gpu is detected meanwhile the lights turn on.
