I tried a few things at the same time, because it was easier than lugging the case in and out of my desk hole.
I enabled CSM, then did one start up without a GPU. Then I plugged in another 60hz monitor and it worked.
Precision X1 said it can't update the VBIOS with CSM enabled, so I disabled it again. Sorry that I didn't try them one at a time, but it's working!

Nice! Glad it worked out for you. In this reality an RMA is NOT a happy prospect.

Does anyone know how long it takes EVGA to fulfill RMAs, especially on the 30 series GPUs?

I completely agree. I was kind of hoping, in the back of my mind, that they set aside enough GPUs to send back for worst case RMAs. I like not needing to find out better.

I have same issue, 3080 ti ftw3 hybrid. First start display output worked after precision software updated firmware, restarted never booted into windows motherboard give vga error. Tried hdmi cable works, and then plugging display cable while in windows, it works but restarting same issue ,need to unplug display cable and i can plug display cable after computer posts and pc boots. Uninstalled driver , reset bios none fixex.asked for rma. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for the prompt reply, mine is z490 wifi edge msi with 10900kf no integrated gpu. Mobo has a several small led lights that shows cpu, ram, vga posting. When im connect with display cable no display is there even if i wait,nothing happens and the led light designated vga stays on. If i unplug display cable and restart pc using shutdown button, and then i look at the motherboard and wait till bios moves beyond vga light, then i plug display cable my pc will display the image and all is well. Or i can restart pc with display cable unplugged and plug hdmi instead and graphic card will work normally, then when in windows i can switch to display cable. Tried the evga bios switch oc and normal, tried mobo bios reset. Nothing helps. Ofcourse tried DDU, I have 3080 ftw3 which works perfectly. Evga was quick to ship me a replacement. Same day did the shipping.

3080Ti FTW3 and having the same issues. I can't get into the bios but I know the system boots normally since I can see the keyboard and apps opening, just not video signal. Tried everything. I don't have an IGPU. I borrowed a 3070Ti and the pc is perfect again. Once installed the new driver I switched back to the 3080Ti and NOW you can get a video BUT just after windows loads the drivers, still not bios, dark screen and than into windows. So without a driver already installed the card does not output any video, not even shows the bios even tho the PC boots into windows normally.
 
This is so buggy. The VGA led on the motherboard is still on. This is clearly something at hardware level like firmware or something.
 
Is EVGA at least aware of that? 

 
Try booting the PC with no GPU. Let it fully run through the codes and cycles, then reinstall the GPU.

I think it's a VBIOS issue at this point.

Sad to see so many people with new cards and this issue. I think is has something to do with the miner limiter and plugin in a monitor. Is EVGA at least aware of this? Any updates on them? New VBIOS or firmware?

Having the same issue. Registered my card - first time I've done that in years - just so I could push the info to EVGA. Mine's a LITTLE different in that:

I have an Odyssey G9.
I cannot run 240hz on this screen through the DP - it just shuts the DP input off though it keeps running the HDMI (more on that in a sec)
I cannot boot with just the DP cable in.

The only way I can get video is if I have both HDMI and DP plugged in. HDMI runs at 60hz and DP runs at 120hz. If I unplug the HDMI, it cuts the feed to the DP as well. If I unplug the DP, the HDMI keeps on trucking. If I shut down with both in, and boot up with just DP no go. If I shut down with both in and boot up with HDMI, no problem. If I shut down with both in, boot up with HDMI/DP in, no problem. 

Any time I try anything other than having HDMI in, it does not give me video.

I have an ASUS Crosshair 8 Hero board. I get a 64 error when only DP cable is in. This system was just fine and the only change is adding 1 8 pin connector to make for the 3x8 requirement of the FTW3. I am running 3 separate cables for the 3080 Ti FTW3. 
 
I have updated my motherboard BIOS, I have ran Precision X1 for the firmware update, I have tried both Game Ready and Studio Drivers, I have updated my chipset drivers. I have tried two different monitors (my G9, and a MAG27CQR MSI screen) and found similar issue both way (regarding needing HDMI), I have DDU'd my drivers every time I have changed them. I have tried as many HDMI/DP cable combinations I can think of with the 2 screens I have on my desk right now (note: I typically only run the G9, and that's my intent to return to). 

They need firmware or vbios fix for the 3080ti, even FE version has the issue.

Really sad to hear these many stories. So far I haven't seen bigger tech reviewers talking about this and also no firmware update so far. Shame on them. Such an expensive card.

Today's vBIOS update fixed my issue. I suggest giving it a shot.

I second that. No HDMI cable needed to be able to see the motherboard BIOS after this update.
