had an opportunity to get an 11th gen Intel today, and took the plunge. Going to try to put together a comp to replace my VERY old one. Graphics card is a discussion for a different day, since I am still rocking an old evga 750ti
I decided to also buy a qualifying item on the evga site, i hope it gets here in time for me to register it for the elite club so I can try to put in for the z590 FTW!

I'm interested in these boards, I have my i9-11900k, but are there any spec sheets on these yet? Trying to ascertain the different between the FTW and the Dark. Though I'll be honest, looking at past boards, I'll probably go for the FTW as it appears more reasonably priced, plus it looks like it'll actually be available in a reasonable time frame.

looking at some in the past, the differences to me seemed to be the following:
the dark didnt have RGB (though this may be slightly different this time)
the dark has 2 RAM slots, and this is because it was geared more towards overclocking
the FTW has 4 RAM slots, and they are in a different location on this board too
im sure someone with many more posts and experience will (and should) correct me if i am wrong!

ATX : E-ATX (probably)
1GBbps NIC : 2.5Gbps NIC
The above is all I know for sure, but there's likely lots of other features. Dark is also usually rated for higher RAM clocks.

Dark -10 layer board -22 Phase VRM -3 M.2 key-M slots -8 SATA ports, "over a dozen" USB options, two 2.5Gbps NICs, WiFi 6/BT 5.1, 7.1 Ch HD audio -two fan headers dedicated to AIO CPU coolers -a nightlight with ARGB cover FTW: -8 layer board -17 phase VRM -4800MHz+ memory support -WiFi 6/BT 5.1, Displayport 1.4 and HDMI 2.0, "excessive number" of USB options -multiple ARGB headers -gigabit NIC, 7.1ch HD audio -?# of M.2 slots (also 3? it doesn't say, but the cover looks to be the same size as the Dark, which does say) -multiple "CPU FAN" headers can be seen in the rendered image so this spec might be the same as the Dark

Has there been any other news on release date of the Dark? I was going to get either the new Apex or Dark, and I can pick up the Apex today. Kind of interested in the Tachyon and OC Formula. But with the way things are I don't know if I should wait to finally see how all the boards compare and fair in real use, not just spec sheets.
