HoggleA lot of difference between a $190 board and this. Though I was expecting it to be a bit less and in the $350 to $399 range but with the current shortages might as well go for it for the $30 extra. Probably. But no one force you to buy cheapest variant. So far just 486 people subscribed for notification within 13 minutes since launch. RogueMasterA trifle slow getting in.

Just a little note about the pricing and the wonders of volume manufacturing. I design circuits for a living (and PCBs) and if I wanted to get a board this size, and this many layers (with this complexity) made...just 1 board...it would probably cost my company ~$3000-4000. That's because we'd order it last minute, buy just one of them, and want it here in 2 weeks. Oh, and that doesn't include populating it or any of the components. I can't even wager a guess on that part, but probably anywhere between $400 and $1500 for that part (again, 1-2 week lead time).
Now, EVGA on the other hand, buying hundreds of them (guessing?), probably gave the board manufacturer at least 8 weeks to make the bare boards, then plenty of time to assemble...and now they can sell it and hopefully even make money on it for $429.99. As an engineer, I find that amazing.
More on topic. When asked when they'd actually start shipping, Jacob just said on twitter: "Start shipping next week".

Yeah, this guy get's it. I would not have been surprised to see a $699 price point. I actually wonder if EVGA is taking a loss on this SKU as well, all things considered. I am fairly certain they are on some of the GPU SKU's.

Oh nice. I was considering an MSI MEG ACE board, but honestly, I'd rather go back to EVGA. After making the mistake of using ASUS in my last build a few years back, I'm not especially trusting of other manufacturers. I've always had good luck with EVGA, it's time to come back home as it were. Besides, this will look great with my 3090.

It borked my first attempt. Gave me the error that the notify email I used was not my account email. So had to remember to use the email for my elite account so my reg time was 10:00:47 AM PT

Nah, I'm not going to add a hub to my build. I could daisy chain the RGB stuff in the Commander I guess but 1 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.2 header is ridiculous at this price point on an ATX board. Especially with that rather small number of ports on the back. Also, what wifi is this? I'd assume 6.0 since it's a z590 but the spec sheet should specify that. Frankly, I'm underwhelmed. If I had seen this spec sheet in January I would have already bought a board from someone else. Not sure if I have the stomach to wait for a Dark when there are such good OCing board options already out, with specs available.
