I really dont understand this. Games (and a map editor) suddenly started to have (quite bad) screen tearing. I have changed nothing of settings, drivers or what ever i can think of. Vsync settings is the same as they where ~2 days ago, with no tearing.
(Only thing i knowingly have changes, is setting a "custom" Fan Speed in Afterburner.)

Checked your monitor refresh settings? I know mine will let me toggle between 144Hz, 120Hz, and 60Hz. Might double check the adaptive Vsync setting in the Nvidia 3d settings control panel as well if you were only looking in-app vsync settings.

I have newer had vsync on in nvida c-panel. And i have newer had tearing issues until now.

Anyway. When the Fans on 1080ti ftw3 is Not spinning (As two of them *newer* do default, i get NO tearing, but also PC crashes when the stupid card is "smoking hot". When then Fans are spinning, tearing and lags in game.. What the heck is going on?

If your fps is going above your monitors refresh rate with v-sync off that will cause tearing. Does the issue also occur when using the other vbios on the card?

I know why you _normally_ get tearing..

Haven't tried. afaik know i've done nothing to the bios(es), unless XOC have messed with it.

Double check what your refresh rate is set to.

Also check to see that Microsoft didn’t decide you needed a new driver for the video card or monitor. I have had a few times Windows have installed drivers that are not ideal for my system.

    Give this a try...

#1 Restore your system to a day when everything was working correctly using system restore.
#2 Exit all monitors apps. Afterburner, Precision, etc.
#3 Test a game to see if the issue is gone.
