It could be free and they would be disappointed and angry.

Tweaktown is going full clickbait these days. They are just trying to get people to give them ad revenue.

Again, it is just a rumor and I take it as just that.  It is too early in the release news cycle to put much credence into any of this.

You know MS and Sony would love to see these prices.

NOTE:  The following is meant in jest, do not construe this as anything resembling reality.

Now to really start a psyops conspiracy theory, the whole thing could be a set up to get the consumers used to seeing those prices. Then when they are released at only 20% over current model retail, consumers will be relieved that they aren't the rumored prices and will purchase them.

They are plausible. All depend on the supply and demand. Personally I am not updating until 80x0 or 90x0 unless there is another bull market in crypto.

If the prices are correct, might have to find a suga mama to buy me these GPUs 🤔

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Lol..  This is just some Youtuber's "predicted" prices.  Gotta get that click bait in..

All that aside, the prices listed wouldn't shock me at all and aligns with what I see as the new normal (inflation) along with the added costs of moving to TSMC/reserving line time, component price jumps,  etc..  I just hope it is the top end 4090's hitting that $2999 mark and not the retail starting block MSRP.

Yup he made the predictions as a joke like a years ago, but it turned into our reality that the prices don't look so outlandish. How far have we fallen.

These prices are not a rumor, it's a bunch of random gamers and miners trying to predict what the prices would be. Ugh.

    Transform and roll out.

    nope.not for me.

    800 bucks for a x070 vanilla mid-upper card??
over 1000 bucks for a x080 vanilla card???

2000 Dollars  for a 4080 Ti???? are they insane??
what's their goal with these ludicrous prices?

im already skipping 4000 gen!!   let the scalpers and miners have them all! i do not care anymore!

but if by 5000 gen this is not sorted out then:
"hello console gaming- its been a while...""

I routinely see 3080 FE cards going for $1700+ on eBay, so clearly people are willing to pay this much for current gen video cards - the market is there, no?

I remember when we thought the 3080Ti would launch in fall 2020 with a retail price of $1499 price. What we got was a fall launch of just a 3080 that had the performance of better than a 2080Ti with a price of $699. Everyone thought it would be five hundred more than that.

As for the cards I don't know how much of an interest miners will have in the future with Bitcoin being down 50% and it looking like Russia might crackdown on mining like China did. The other thing is we could see NVIDIA put in a limit to mining on future cards. If all that happens I am not sure how much value mining will have to people looking to buy a GPU.

Asus TUF 3070 was $770 on newegg shuffle TODAY.   Where have you been?

Asus Strix 3080 Ti $2050 TODAY.

$800 for a 4070 that is a bit slower than a 3080 Ti will be pretty impressive.

    Oh wait that's a good 3080.  Hmmm

Yep.  I member.  Funny thing that even before the crypto boom the scalper market instantly corrected the price of the 3080 to $1200, which is more than people were initially predicting.  Nvidia could have easily launched the 3080 at $999.

3080 Ti at $1200++ is the only 'correctly' priced card of the generation.

Nvidia and the AIB's won't make that mistake again.
