I don't see an easy fix for this. Most people aren't going to want to either send their card back to EVGA to get it replaced or take it apart themselves to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel the replacement plans all together and just start giving the option to new purchases. Man, life sure is tough out here.

Ah, they could just use a black Sharpie if they all that offended or whatever they think they are about this world ending event that it seems to be....  And if they need to send in the card just use some alcohol to remove it before hand.

Its not like there wasn't clear pictures of the product when you purchased it. Many people simply settled for whatever 3000 series card they could get due to availability. Maybe just focus on that feeling for now? While the internet is great at bringing people together, its also terrible at enabling each others poor behaviors. Making small issues seem much larger than they really are. If something is really bothering you and you have options, exercising those options is the best thing you can do for your mental health. In this case, return the item and go with something else.
If the color of a small piece of plastic is making you anxious there are larger issues at play here.
feeling anxious about something!=debilitating anxiety. maybe i should have used the word "eager", "impatient" or "worried" for you.

I completely agree with that statement. However, he's also not wrong that it's not as big of an issue as people are making it out to be. It's just one of those meme bandwagon things at this point. Yes it's a weird red accent. But it's on the side of the card. I'm not saying you shouldn't dislike it. And I'm not saying you shouldn't want a replacement part sent out, because EVGA clearly said right at launch that there would be black replacement lips available for people and they've failed to deliver on that. But again - while it may be an issue to you personally, and while EVGA has so far failed to deliver on its promise, it doesn't change the fact that it's not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be.
What people don't realize is that they never said it would be a quick time. All they said is that they would change it eventually when they found a solution that works. It's not as simple as just saying, "Hey factory! Change the lips!" Supply lines and **** have to be changed. Different materials need to be sourced and then you have to think about the absolutely pointless cost to evga to even make this change happen at the factory and get your **** replaced. People are entitled af.

Well mine 3090 ultra arrived today and it has black lips not red ones so I guess the change has been made.
Yep, my 3080 ultra arrived today as well, no red lips either just all black. Happy days! Getting poor FPS in some games though, so looks like a reinstall of Window might be on the cards.

It's not really a big deal to me, as I don't look at my case that often, and it doesn't look that bad to me (I have a 3070 xc3 atm with the red lips, don't know how much more noticeable the ftw3 version is with it's larger size)
I can understand people not liking it, a lot of people put a ton more work into the look of the case and the computer than I do, so it'd mean more to others than me.
Still, I'm not sure I like it either, will prefer the hybrid cooler 3080 I'll hopefully be getting soon.

I benched 3 games,two had massive fps increases compared to my 1080ti and the third was near identical, will have to investigate that one.

I think I am one of the few that likes the red lips lol. If I had the choice, I would choose grey or black over it, but I am not willing to tamper with my card to change it.
