Hi everyone.

I recently noticed there is a constant rattling sound coming from my SuperNOVA 1600 P2 PSU. The noise comes even when my PC is off, starts as soon as the PSU is turned on.

Is this OK? Should I RMA it? It works well otherwise.

Could be a bad fan bearing. You'll need to rma it to get it fixed unless you don't mind voiding your warranty to replace the fan.

Sound appears as soon as PSU is connected to the outlet and the switch is ON, fan is not spinning (it is not jump started, PC is off). Rattle comes off some electric part rather than mechanical part. I don't know if this was the case since the beginning, due to GPU noise I only hear it when putting my ear next to the exhaust of the PSU, but it is quite noticeable.

I don't know if you did this already, but try to change the power cord.  The connection (on the c19 port) might be loose or corroded which causes vibration that produces the rattling sounds.

If the rattling noise persist, RMA it, just to be safe.
