Was there any hints from Jacob that the 3090 Kingpin Hydrocopper or water block ONLY be out this year?

No problem. I almost feel like not adding it to a custom loop because the hybrid version has it's own 360mm rad

Custom loop should be better then anything they use.

Yeah for sure, I had a custom loop with the 1080ti Kingpin on a 360rad then I upgraded to a 420 rad and it dropped my temps only a little. No performance gains just lower temps. I would be interested in seeing the difference but I guess only time will tell now.

I wish Jacob would confirm somewhere in this forum that kingpin will actually release in oct/nov

I'd be willing to wait. Especially if we get a 500watt bios

Looking from the price leak on the 3090 ftw ultra at $1800 it will go for $2200 to $2300 before tax and shipping

The hybrid 2080 ti kingpin was 700 over the FE card, so I'm guessing $2200 as well for the hybrid version, and a little more for the hydro version.

mmm.   I would think the hydro would be a couple of hundred over a standard 3090 for waterblocks,  If not, I may look at something aftermarket.  Anyone know historically how much evga waterblocks added to the base model?

Last year it was a month after the kingpin release before evga released the water block for it. Priced at a scary $350.

Kingpin was $1900 and not sold with the hydro copper block.

So my guess is $2500 total. :/

Puts it into perspective when the last 2089ti kingpin was released in april 2019. Not a whole lot of time.

Earlier you get it, more return on investment.  Even Sajin converted from Titan to 2080ti KP.

Just built this for a new VR setup.  FTW3 Ultra would work a little better than the Intel 630 Graphics.  Hard to move my current setup around the house.

the AiO with 2080ti KP was very good, i had mine eventually under HC block and the temps were better by 2c, kept the loop going because i can control the fans from the fans controller as i wish but with KP AiO i wasn't sure if i was controlling it 100% with MSI AB since i can't figure out PX or OC the gpu as good as MSI AB does it

Last year they were sold separate. Maybe because the blocks weren't ready yet..I dont think it ever changed later either.

I had that rad hanging in my case as their was no where to mount it for a month while I waited for the copper block release. Hehe.

I'd do the same again if needed.

It is completely different. It usually is the absolute pinnacle of GPU development. The best everything. This Kingpin will have a hybrid AIO with a 360mm radiator and they said they plan on having waterblocks available at some point.

It depends what kind of card you want. These are the best of the best. The highest quality silicone, with the best power delivery, and actual voltage control. These are the cards overclockers put under ln2 to set records. If you like messing around overclocking your system to squeeze the most out of it, then this is the card for you. Most people would be better off with a ftw3 either air or hydro copper, imo

It's pretty much the best gaming experience you can get right now to own the current generation of Kingpin card. That said you need a very powerful CPU and monitor to really take advantage of a Kingpin.

lmao

They aren’t any different than say a FTW3 for just gaming. The performance is literally essentially the same. The 30 series has been shown to have almost zero OC headroom. The KP card won’t be much different. It’ll OC a little higher than some other high end cards based on the higher power limit, but it won’t be significant. Maybe 2-3 FPS at most in specific scenarios. Other than the big AIO cooler or Hydrocopper, it’s going to perform the exact same as a higher end card for just every day gaming.

The only advantage of the card is for XOC or benchmarking. That’s where it really shines.

I agree you won't see too much of a difference in gaming.  It's all about clocks and benches.

Speaking of which...

....how about a 2.580 Ghz RTX 3090 Kingpin on LN2.
