gravedigger78The Kingpin is supposed to be out in October but no mention of waterblocks yet.
ehabash1I wish Jacob would confirm somewhere in this forum that kingpin will actually release in oct/nov I'd be willing to wait. Especially if we get a 500watt bios

Deliriousmmm. I would think the hydro would be a couple of hundred over a standard 3090 for waterblocks, If not, I may look at something aftermarket. Anyone know historically how much evga waterblocks added to the base model?

AHowesLast year it was a month after the kingpin release before evga released the water block for it. Priced at a scary $350.Kingpin was $1900 and not sold with the hydro copper block. So my guess is $2500 total. :/Puts it into perspective when the last 2089ti kingpin was released in april 2019. Not a whole lot of time.
arckyIs the kingpin itself considered a hydro copper or is completely different?
ReZpawNIs it usually worth waiting for these?
HoggleReZpawNIs it usually worth waiting for these? It's pretty much the best gaming experience you can get right now to own the current generation of Kingpin card. That said you need a very powerful CPU and monitor to really take advantage of a Kingpin.

The performance is literally essentially the same. The 30 series has been shown to have almost zero OC headroom. The KP card won’t be much different. It’ll OC a little higher than some other high end cards based on the higher power limit, but it won’t be significant. Maybe 2-3 FPS at most in specific scenarios. Other than the big AIO cooler or Hydrocopper, it’s going to perform the exact same as a higher end card for just every day gaming. The only advantage of the card is for XOC or benchmarking. That’s where it really shines.
