Ugghhh sure no one is surprised. On positive note keeping the Oled is cool and will make for some truly statement builds.

I am waiting for a block for my kingpin too. Sold a strix for kingpin and now I am waiting for a block with all the cooling parts. We will get next gen before we get the blocks 😂

On another thread I posted I asked what people thought of splicing into the hybrid tubing of my KP card and one of the moderators said a block was coming.  Curious to hear when... I imagine that their priority are the 3080 and 3090 HC cards first.

I got tired of waiting. Nothing encouraging as far as a timeline from EVGA and OptimusPC at this point, so I very carefully disconnected the hoses at the radiator (no damage to the hoses or braided cover) then added QD3 fittings, and integrated the K|INGP|N into my chilled loop.
 
I'm really more interested in the OptimusPC block if it has liquid cooling for both sides of the GPU. It is not clear from the teaser press releases whether or not the Hydro Copper block water cools the back side.

 
If I recall, Optimus was not planning on a block for the back of the GPU.  I'd have to dig through their Twitter responses to find the statement, but I'm pretty sure they'll only have a backplate for it.

Wel, that's unfortunate. I had heard they would and that was pretty exciting. I was looking forward to it.

Thickest of the bunch with a finned design. you also get a massive fujipoly pad that covers the entire backside which transfers the heat very well. They must have done some testing and found its not worth it to actively cool it because i promise you a pad of that size/thickness and high thermal transfer is NOT cheap and would have probably been cheaper for them to actively cool it
 

That's good too know. Maybe I can fabricate something custom. I'd love to have my chilled water loop cooling both sides.

So who knows when/if they will drop.  Optimus said they were working on one, but they're so incredibly slow with everything that I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't drop until summer.  I might just sell my Kingpin if I find a Strix in stock.  I bought the Kingpin with the expectation that a block would be available within a few months.  That does not seem to be the case.
 

Optimus told me they would have a K|NGP|N block out in Feb... that was expected 3 weeks ago.  My order for a CPU and radiator also took 6 weeks to ship when they said they were in stock.. so can't really trust their dates.  In their defense, I've been dealing with a similar manufacturing situation and my vendor keeps delaying and I can only blame them.  All while waiting for parts to send off to a similar coating process that Optimus uses (we have somewhat related manufacturing processes).
 
I hope that the K|NGP|N HC add on cooler comes out soon for my KP.

February didn't happen, looks like March won't happen...

Thanks for posting the screenshot. I canceled my FacePoot and Twatter accounts so the screen snip is helpful. (The links are of no value to me.) The delays on everything really suck. I really want the OptimusPC block and will only go with the Hydro Copper (if one is ever released) if it drops first and we are still with no commitment or ETA from OptimusPC.

I thought Jacob said they'd announce on social media before releasing, but haven't seen anything, so I'm thinking this week is a no go.

It would be really nice to just open up a "notify me" line and let us sing up for it.  This waiting around to see when I can pre-order is just silly.  I don't care how long I have to wait in the pre-order line I just want to get in the line.

Well, depends on whether you can get a 40 series or not. If the supply problem continues you might feel lucky to have the lowly 3090. :-)
