Same problem here with ASUS strix 3080ti, seems like the problem for evga has been fixed, does anyone know when can we have something for asus?

On the Samsung Odyssey G9 I've just seen the startup POST screen for the first time ever after updating the 3080Ti FTW3 firmware with the latest Precision X1, BIOS version now reads 94.02.71.80.86. Is this update meant to address any issues in Windows? There are a variety of problems affecting the G9, likely any DSC enabled displays including the Display failing to wake from sleep or inactivity or when changing certain OSD settings, forcing a system reboot.

I have the same problem, I own 3080ti FTW3 and I can't access bios from DP
I've updated with Precision X1 and the GPU BIOS version is 92.02.71.00.AF.
I don't know how I can solve it

solved, to update it is necessary to go to the Re-Bar tab, clicked on information and couldn't find a way to update

Pretty sure this was just affecting the 3080 Ti. To be sure your 3070 is up to date, go to the ReBAR menu in PX1 and look next to the BIOS version. If it says “update,” then you’ll know there’s an update. If not, it’s obviously up to date. Oh, and ensure that Fast Boot and CSM is disabled in your motherboard BIOS prior to updating the 3070 if, again, it needs an update. On a different note, check Asus’ website for the latest BIOS. It may include ReBAR support. My Gigabyte Z390 motherboard thankfully had an update to support ReBAR. It’s only a small bump in FPS using ReBAR, but I’ll take it.

man there almost needs to be a sticky about this I am glad I googled it as I could not figure it out for the life of me and then saw the bios update in percision as it only auto prompts for the firmware updates

I have this exact issue with a 3090 FTW and a Samsung Odyssey G9. It seems that EVGA did not update the VBIOS for this card as they did for the 3080 Ti. I have asked their support whether there is a beta VBIOS/fix incoming for their 3090 FTW cards.

Yes I did check. I also combed through this forum looking for betas, and checked the Techpowerup VGA BIOS database to see if it had a newer one.
I've definitely got the most recent one and I'm not able to see the BIOS menu on my G9.

Have you also updated the g9 firmware? They had one that fixed a lot of issues last summer

No I did not, actually the one I have now is straight from EVGA themselves. I replaced a Rev 0.1 PCB version of the 3090 FTW I'd got from Scan (UK retailer) with a newer version that doesn't have the issues with PCIe slot power draw being too high/not hitting actual TDP limits. Had to pay a huge amount in import taxes for that replacement, was not fun.
I also re-flashed the VBIOS with the latest one anyway just in case. Still can't see the BIOS menu.

Nvidia had a patch utility on their site for this problem too for FE models, just patches the port issues, maybe look for that

I just gave it a shot, unfortunately it didn't update the firmware as it was 'already updated'. I tried accessing the BIOS afterwards anyway, nothing's changed.

Is it different on HDMI versus Displayport? You could always use the HDMI connection to access the bios

I tried HDMI, same issue. I also tried using PiP mode which some people have suggested, as well as setting the monitor to DP 1.1/1.2 (tried both). Nothing's worked unfortunately.

Same here. No DisplayPort signal with a RTX 3070. Not on Boot and on Desktop. Screen stays black all the time. Strange thing is that during a lot of tries i got one signal one time on both but after that never again. Monitor and cable are DisplayPort 1.2.

I have updated vbios to normal version: 94.02.71.80.74 and still cannot access to bios. I have evga 3080 ti ftw3 ultra. Should I try with OC version? And if I update to OC version, do I have to put a switch o the graphics card to OC as well?

These Graphic cards i can confirm are working with the new fix. Each were updated with their own tool or provided by the Support -
Gainward Rtx 3080 ti
Msi Suprim x rtx 3080 ti
Palit Rtx 3080ti
and now EVGA Partially for the normal bios switch.
Cant Physically Confirm the following since none of my friends, peers or I own one. -
Zotac RTX 3080 TI
Have the MSI RTX 3080 ti SUPRIM X. where is this information? provided by support or their own tool? I am having the same problem,cant find the updated vBIOS.

I found the issue with not able to go to Bios. It was the DP cable's issue. I changed it with older school HDMI cable (hdmi to hdmi). And now all works fine.

That is literally not an answer to this issue. IF after changing DP cable, you cant still have a properly functioning system (aka go to bios whenever you want), it's not a solution. That HDMI works everyone knows. HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 120 and 240hz works without issue. But i am talking about DISPLAYPORT.

To enphasize and posted on MSI forums (Since no MSI user seems to have this issue):
Displayport connection:
> Black screen until windows
> No capability to enter bios
> Black screen with artifacts until windows pops up
As reported in this thread , the issue happens with CSM disabled (essential to have reSize Bar) and a displayport connection.
My setup:
CSM disabled, reSize enabled
ASUS XG258q (HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0, Displayport 1.2
Results:
HDMI 1.4 120hz - works flawless without errors during boot, BIOS accessible
HDMI 2.0 240hz - works flawless without errors during boot, BIOS accessible
DISPLAYPORT 1.2 240hz - fails (black screen with artifacts) until windows loads and then everything is perfect
Nvidia provided multiple fixes to monitors (1.2 DP and 14 D.P) and that solved some of the issues.
NVIDIA GPU Firmware Update Tool for DisplayID -
and also
- NVIDIA Graphics Firmware Update Tool for DisplayPort 1.3 and 1.4 Displays
Also, brands like EVGA and ASUS created specific vBIOS versions to avoid this issue.
None of these helped my case.
This happens with old and new monitors. Example from the EVGA thread above:
"Same problem. RTX 3080 TI FTW3 Ultra with an MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi mobo (both latest BIOS) and Samsung G9 Odyssey 49" ultrawide.
Some observations:
Monitor at 240Hz, Displayport 1.4, no boot.
Monitor at 120Hz, Displayport 1.4, boots, no UEFI splash screen. Screen comes on when Windows has booted.
Monitor at 60Hz, Displayport 1.2, boots with UEFI splash screen.

Thanks but that doesnt work in MSI SUPRIM X 3080 ti
It appears : already updated.
MSI is the only brand that didnt do a vBIOS updayte like ASUS and EVGA. which is a mess.
I managed to flash a EVGA bios in my SILENT MSI SUPRIM X vBIOS.
It's so bad to need to this in a so expensive card.
Hence my question...
You said there was an update from the major brands... not MSI.
Suprim X only has bios from april last year.
None after the july fixes in other brands.
