$60 for the 10 year Warranty witch is really a 7 year warranty that's added onto the three years it comes with, and the Advanced RMA EAR Plan: Saturday Priority was $49.99 this could pay for itself fast if you have to ship something back and forth a couple times, info on Advanced RMA EAR Plan: Saturday Priority /////  The EVGA Advanced RMA (EAR) Program protects your product in the case of failure. If something was to go wrong with your EVGA product, the standard RMA process will be accelerated by shipping a replacement product to you first, EVGA will pay for shipping both ways as well. This will cut down the amount of time your system will be down and save you money on shipping////  I thought i already have $1,500 tied up in this card what's another $100

As technology continues to grow it is unlikely you'll have this card for 10 years. However for the short term you are well protected with the warranty.

I kind of always thought the same. But I still have my (4) 680's and (3) 980's running (all EVGA of course). My son would get my older cards when I upgrade. Since I tend to hold onto them longer I decided to buy the extra warranty because of the cost of the Ti cards. Keeping the (3) 980 pc setup as a dedicated sim racing pc instead of giving to my son this time (bought him a 2070). Currently building a new 9900k system with Ti's.

Slash,

Since your son typically gets the cards when you upgrade, make sure they stay registered to your account, and if you need to RMA, go through the process for your son.  The extended warranty will not transfer accounts, but if you do the leg work the the case of the failure, it will really pay off in the end.  You may have already known this, but some people may not, so I figured it would be best to share since you just happen to mention. :-)

I also invested 10 years for the 2080 Ti Black I purchased.  I think it's warranted seeing so many complaints but so far so good on this end (crosses fingers).

I also got Advanced RMA with Next Day Air set.

I think the failure rate is pretty low, but I also got the 10 year warranty just in case.

I went with the five year, just because I've never ended up keeping a card for much more than two, but now I got my girlfriend into this hobby, and she's getting my 980ti, I figure that'll end up happening with the 2080ti as well lol

I like the extended warranty Option, and buy it for my cards - the cost is a very reasonable way to protect your investment, especially if you keep cards more than the standard 3 yr warranty would cover

Well I just figure if they make it thru 3 years of Folding 24/7 they did their duty.  I always try to get one top of the line card when they come out and it will move down the ranks of Folding.  I run 4 cards in 2 machines.

After getting burned by BFG I always make sure to have extended warranty. I accidently missed the window for my Evga 980 TI Hybrid and was pretty sad. Fortunately it still works, but can't buy warranty :(

Still have a lifetime warranty card too

I hope I am not still gaming on this 2080 Ti 10 years from now :-). Was considering the 5 year warranty for $30 but then again my credit card doubles manufacturer's warranty for free, so I am covered for 6 years anyway.

I might get advanced RMA EAR plan. Just to let you know when you purchase advanced RMA EAR plan, it only covers ONE RMA. If you happen to have multiple RMAs for this card (which I hope you don't), you will have the option to purchase an EAR plan for each replacement you get. So it is not like this $49 Sat priority plan covers you for any and all shipments for the entire 10 years.

$49 Sat priority plan, for just one use, still seems like a great deal to me ;  ) I had a 1080ti that I had to RMA last year, I don't like the weight so I paid to overnight it to them, then I paid extra to have them Next Day Air to back to me, that was more than double $49, so if I have to RMA this card, I'll be paying for the $49 Sat priority plan again, NP  if you're not one of those people that wants their stuff back as soon as possible, and you don't mind to wait, I would say that's great don't waste your money, if not then I would suggest you buy the $49 Sat priority plan,

I don't disagree that the EAR plan is still a good deal, I am about to ship my 2080 Ti back to EVGA and I know it will be way more than that. Just pointing out that it is one time use.

But you are going to upgrade your card in like 2 years or less. What is the point of an extended warranty? lol.

I would say more like every 3 to 5 Years.
Never head of anyone changing every 2 Years yet alone less than 2 Years

EVGA does an awesome job keeping track of warranties. my seven year old, ten year warranty, for two 560-Ti's, both have 1,054 days left on them.

u just go to Member, My EVGA, My Products, View Details and there it is.

i hadn't looked in years until recently.

and now seven years later EVGA has MOBO's PSU's, and Cases; lions and tigers and bears. great forums for each and everything.

sry Gigabyte company, but i'm going all out EVGA hardware from now on! (EVGA Kitchen sinks? lol)

We all got a scare last year when the Code on the Website caused all ours products to show Out of Warranty.
So Glad it was only a codding issue. But EVGA said they go by the Date and not the Count Down Number.
