RTX 2070 Super - Coil Whine Questions

I just bought this card at Best Buy and it seems to have some pretty serious coil whine every time I launch a game, whether it is something not graphic intense (World of Warcraft Classic) or more graphic intensive (Destiny).
 
I got the card about a week ago, it is the Best Buy version of P/N: 08G-P4-3173-KR , which the only model number difference is it has "KB" instead of "KR". I am not sure what that means as far as product difference goes, I thought it was only referencing the warranty.
 
Anyways, before I get too far off track, here are my questions:
  1. Is coil whine something I will have to deal with in any newer GPU?
  2. Is this something that will affect performance or is it something I need to worry about as far as the life of the card is concerned?
  3. This card is only a week old and bought through Best Buy, should I exchange for another and hope there is less/no coil whine?
 
System:
I use 2 Dell s2716dg monitors, both set to G-sync @144hz
i7 8700k 
Corsair H110i
ASUS z370 prime motherboard
16GB Corsair Vengeance 3000 RAM
RM850x PSU

    2. No.
    3. An exchange may help, but other components in your system such as the motherboard & power supply could be causing the gpu to whine.

    Thank you for the feedback. Do you know if the best buy model of this card has any significant difference or if it is in fact just warranty related?

    The warranty is the same as a -KR model. -KB just means it's sold at best buy. Components are the same between the two.

    We do recommend to run a burn in test since the card is newer. Usually Heaven for about 6 hours overnight might do the trick. Keep in mind coil whine is usually the result of a PSU and for that reason we recommend to swap it out if you can or place the card into another system and put it under load. Coil whine is covered under warranty but we cannot guarantee a replacement will not have some type of coil whine. Shoot us over an email support@evga.com or give us a call 888 881 3842

    the coil whine could definitely be the PSU, I just replaced my PSU with a higher powered PSU and found the coil whine to be a lot quieter.

    people are complaining on newegg and evga says the psu but the psu listed by the people complaining have platinum ones made by corsair and other name brand psu's stop blaming other hardware for inherent problems.  https://www.howtogeek.com/297166/what-is-coil-whine-and-can-i-get-rid-of-it-on-my-pc/

    Heh, my pc is on the floor under the desk, so I say, let the coils whine and the fps flow freely. :)
