PS

Looks like stock slipped a bit unfortunately. Early next week is what it is looking like:

How slippery is it these days?

Sorry EVGA but you took too long. Newegg now has the GIGABYTE AORUS RTX 2080 TI in stock, just picked it up.
I hope on my next card you will have your offerings a bit sooner!

I wish I had room for that in my case, it's my only issue. I have the Meshify C and I can either fit a 120mm rad in back. No room up top in my build, and can't fit in front due to length of card plus fan / radiator thickness.

Evga is kind of late on this. Both MSI and Gigabyte got their versions out for the 2080. Hummm..

The Gigabyte card just got put up for sale by Newegg today.  It's only $1,399...I almost wish I didn't pick up the air cooled FTW3.

Sincerely, i don't blame jacob directly but EVGA is very late to the party for 2080 owners. Also the "maybe next week", "delayed" etc is getting really old. At this point in time they KNOW their products are popular. Look at how 900/1000 series hybrid kits and hybrid cards sold. Cmon... If my case would've taken it, i would've went with the Gigabyte solution with the 240mm rad but it just doesn't fit with what i have right now and Msi's solution is bleh. So i'm stuck like many others here, waiting and waiting :@.

Same here...usually Jacob is pretty responsive. I’m being hopefully and assuming it means that it’s launching soon. It’s loterally the last part of my build. I really don’t want to assemble everything and then take the card out and install the hybrid. I’d rather install everything and be done.

Link doesn't work, but at this point it's hard to have any faith in the updates.

But he's talking about the standalone kits right? Still waiting for the factory built hybrid. I've been reading this thread for months now (i never replied before though). I seriously consider MSI's sea hawk if this thing won't be here in my rig before Christmas even though it looks a bit flimsy compared to EVGA's version. It's frustrating to have a complete new built ready which is only missing a GPU. I have a mini iTX case so a single 120 mm rad is the only option for me.

He is talking about kits indeed. No dates for built-in hybrids which is a shame to take this long.Just so you know the FTW3 has a much better build than msi's sea hawk.

I've asked on Twitter for Jacob to clarify. He's really good when it comes to responding. I though I was told end of December for the built-in Hybrids but I could have misunderstood.

It is the holiday season so transport of goods to the USA might take longer than expected.

@Jinkguns I've also been following this thread and Jacob on Twitter like crazy, and that's the way I interpreted it too!

#1 Sounds good when asked how FTW3 Hybrid is coming along:
"Should be this month also"
/EVGA_JacobF/status/1068937719089258496?s=20

#2 But then he said no ETA...
/EVGA_JacobF/status/1070116452684853248?s=20

So, maybe he just thought about the FTW3 Hybrid *kits* when answering #1! ;(

I have a hybrid kit on my 980 Ti SC. I’m replace the 980 with a 2070 XC ultra and was wondering if their will be a hybrid kits for the 2070s.

Looks like we’re in the same boat. I’m hoping the date doesn’t slip (and since ground from Cali takes a week) I can have it In My hands by Christmas.

So lucky! I tried the order from pc-canada and it's still backordered... I don't think I will even get my hands on an ftw3 let alone a kit...

Look under compatibility it says the black version is supported
Sorry it wont let me post a link,
Under GPU hybrid coolers there are ones for the XC and black editions and one for the FTW3 for both the 2080/2080ti

Question is now, is it worth it (would you not be better buying a hybrid model instead) getting that (obviously you're getting a fun project), will the GPU clock higher? Or will it only be quieter in operation..

Re: RTX 20 series : Hybrid version 2018/12/10 10:57:54 (permalink)
Since I already bought a Zotac 2080 Ti triple fan and if this hybrid kit lets the card stay under 50C under load, which seems plausible given how 1080 Ti hybrid performs, I can have a stable 2100Mhz OC. Comparing to the stock fan cooler which runs at around 70C under load, that's about 60Mhz clock difference. Is 60Mhz and less noise worth ~200 dollars? For me it is but that it might not be the case for everybody.

Will the Black Edition - which I believe is equal to FE model get that much better with the hybrid cooling?
