Dear Folding Family - I come to you because I know there's a certain amount of hardware turnover among you and am hoping to strike gold with people I know and trust.

I'm looking for a Gigabyte GA-X79-UD5 board.  I'd prefer a dead board that someone is willing to donate as I don't have the bux to drop on a new board. (They're going for $350-$400 and if I was able to burn that much on this, I'd be doing a major upgrade anyway (Mobo, CPU and RAM).)

I'm in the process of building a new home for the existing system and because I'm being donated watercooling supplies by my friends at The ModZoo, I want to be able to frame out the loop with the cooler in proper location without having to take my rig down for any major length of time.

Let me know if you think you can help.

Great bunch of guys over there. I haven't been on there in FOREVER. I can't help you with your board issue, but I hope someone here can. Good luck in your quest to find the board.

I forgot to mention the best part - This is a long term project as part of our weekly google hangout 'episodes' we've been doing (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQB5_Skvq0z0kQiZGH8VqmhT6ROcFpUkt). I'm doing my first water cooling loop under their guidance as a way of showing people exactly how easy it is when you've done the proper research.

And honestly, if you all check out those vids and decide you want to see them as we record, we do it every Sunday at 4pm Central time for about an hour, with different guest from the PC modding world from time to time and are covering a whole host of topics.

It's been a fun thing, and I think I'm handling the 'hosting' job pretty well.

You have a source for that particular board yet? It seems it's are hard to come by as it's a few years old now. I'll check my pile when I get home from work.

I saw a couple on e-bay that ended up selling for nearly $100 (FOR A BROKEN BOARD! THAT'S INSANE!!), so they went well above my comfort zone.

I've got a couple of friends with shops in Minnesota looking (Friends of The Mod Zoo crew) to see if they can find any dumpster finds for me, but at this point, I'll take any leads.

I've asked my friends and searched for that mobo here in The Netherlands, but could not find one.
