We should not have a Separate Thread for Each POTM, if not I think it will be harder to Follow and also to manage each POTM in a in this single thread.

I'd rather have a non-sticky thread for each POTM as it happens so we can find all the relevant info for each on the first page of the thread.  I think that would be easier than looking to page 19 of some gigantic thread to see what settings to use for the current POTM.  Also, I never look at the stickies...
This is a great thread to track what the actual POTM choices are as they evolve.

I would second that.  Prefer a non-sticky POTM thread with the first post containing all the relevant information.  This thread is fine as a sticky as it explains POTM and keeps the list updated.

For my Atlas challenge in March, lets tentatively shoot for Mar 27-31.  This should give us 2 days from the end of PG's LLR challenge series to set up.

Also, since Atlas in the process of migrating over to LHC, i'll keep an eye out to see how things are going on that front. For now all the Atlas units over at [link=mailto:LHC@home]LHC@home[/link] are just test units. Not sure yet what kind of timeline they are looking at.

For anyone wanting to join in for March POTM on atlas@home, please help me out by testing a few WU's to ensure your sytem can handle it.  I dont want to exclude anyone just because 1 your dont have enough ram, or 2 you dont want to/know how to mess with the app-config files.  Each work unit is suppose to eat up 1-2 gb of ram.  It also uses virtualbox so youll need to have that installed.  VB is the tricky part, if it doesn't work off the bat, then just let me know and we can switch projects.

Backup project will be [link=mailto:Einstein@home]Einstein@home[/link] if everyone can't run atlas successfully.  This way we can have as many team members participate that want to =D.

I've always liked this idea and not sure why I drifted away from it recently. Well this year family issues (good ones) have slowed me down and now summer is over and I think it's natural to start thinking about these things again.
So bill and bill let's come up with something. I have pet projects and am sure others do as well.

bcav, I'm going to try your app_configs for AP27 now.

I hear ya =)

May is open and starts Monday - How about throwing out some cool suggestions(guys) that will not conflict with a sprint and maybe will give some badges out. The run on Moo has been awesome and thanks to those that committed their time and power bill to get us from 2nd page obscurity to top 100 and climbing very fast.
Nice job!!!
I am impressed!! Very impressed. If we can keep rolling up and work as a unit we will not be a tier 2 team. I will think about it and offer my 2 cents- I ran pogs and gambled on work units - that paid off because everyone got some bling. Hey I know it is summer like in temps but the POTM is short and sweet.
robby

ps - if you can grab some folders to contribute just to the POTM that would really put some gas on our fire.

Being that **BOINC Pentathlon 2017** May 5 - May 19 0:00 UTC  start on the 5th
Maybe we can wait and line with the BOINC Pentathlon 2017 for the Month of May?
I think we have to wait till the 3rd or 4th to know what to run.
This will give the Folders time to Fold the first of the month for the EVGA Bucks and then move over the BOINC Pentathlon 2017 and POTM.

Our top picks for the BOINC Pentathlon 2017 are:
Collatz Conjecture
OpenZika
MilkyWay@home
DENIS@home

Everyone OK with this CPU Project?
 Leiden Classical 22-26 May 2017
Our Team on Formula BOINC needs some help on Leiden Classical
I am running this Project ATM. Would be Great to see our Team Drop Down to 9th Rank.
You have to give this Project Extra Time to Download new Tasks, the first time wait at lest 10 minutes before you see tasks.

I'm good with Leiden Classical on those dates.

I'll also throw out a suggestion for CPU project SRBase maybe for June POTM (June 26-30th)?

I guess we should leave this open for a couple two or three days to see if there are any problems/objections, yes?

We are #6 on SRBase over on Formula BOINC and not listed for Leiden Classical on Formula BOINC ATM
Make no difference to me. I think SRBase runs hotter than Leiden Classical is about all.

I have been running srbase on at least one machine for a long time - Bcavnaugh asked me to run the project a long time ago (i was unaware that it existed)  There are short and long work units. ATM I am running it on 6 machines and getting work from all of the projects.(subprojects)
Bcavnaugh would know much more than I do about how hot they run.
There are badges.
But if we need to make our presence on Leiden Classical then let's run that project.
