I was very interested in this game when I fist heard about it. It looks fantastic, I bet it's phenomenal on surround monitors as well! If I get into this game enough I may look at purchasing a steering wheel and pedal (always been a racer, played gran Turismo 2,4,pgr3,forza 3,shift2,and nfs games) I believe I'll become a full member so I can get a free copy of the game. Do they name an opponent racer after your real name or in game name, because it would he hilarious to race against the kingofnipples

See what happens to games when you don't have a greedy money grabber pushing release dates and whatnot. The detail I've seen is mind blowing. Can I donate through PayPal?

I KNOW!! I just almost had my brain burst from Awesomeness!! This could be the best graphic racing game I have ever seen. The water reflections and the lighting look so real. Also Will I am thinking about getting me a wheel as well. I just have me a Xbox 360 razor controller to play my racing games.

Yes you can do it through paypal, beware that currently only the PC version is available to play through a the pre-alpha.
Xbox360, PS3 and WII U will come later near the release date :D

The player naming will be done with the one you use as a login in the forums.

Yeah I have a off brand USB controller for my PC that I use for racing games. I hate controllers now though!

Indeed it is, nearly 6.5M pixels of curvy goodness for me. Add the G2x plus racing seat and you have something going.

Looks fantastic Dajjal, thanks for posting.

I cant wait to try it out on my 3 23in monitors @ 5760x1080 Im sure it will stress my one 670 too much though and ill gave to play at 1920x1080p until i buy another 670.

@Dajjal- I went ahead and paid the $60 for the full membership, that way i dont have to worry about buying it later!

Re:Project CARS - Community Assisted Racing Simulator 2012/09/27 08:40:00 (permalink)
Yes you can do it, you just have to follow some guidelines
Remco Van DijkGiven the ongoing confusion, mainly in the 'outside world', about what Project CARS is (a game in development), please keep in mind these rules when uploading videos to video sites (YouTube, Vimeo etc.):

- Please mention the proper name of the game (Project CARS).
- Mention the build version in the credits.
- If possible, mention the link to the WMD forums (www.wmdportal.com) in the credits.
- In the video comment, mention that the game is in development, pre-alpha, unfinished etc. You might also encourage the reader to join the project and help the game's development ;)
- When showing just driving, graphics, car performance etc., please do your best to make pCARS look good. That doesn't mean you should lie, but zooming in on a WIP/placeholder ground texture doesn't help much to set perceptions and expectations of the game.
- When making a video to report/illustrate a bug, please make the video unlisted (i.e. only people with the video link can find it), and only post a link in the WMD forums.

:)

By body mod I meant like car body modifications such as side skirts, spoilers, and other body kit things.

Re:Project CARS - Community Assisted Racing Simulator 2012/09/27 16:29:43 (permalink)
No that's not possible, since it is a racing game it is based on the rules that each kind of competition has. It may change in the future but for now they are just focused on releasing cars as they are in real life competitions.

But maybe if they decide to do a Project CARS 2 , they will do a game more like Gran Turismo or Forza, it would be great since i love collecting cars :D

Nice one !
Can you just add to the video title - "Build 306" so people know what version of pCARS is recorded ?
Oh and the car is called Pagani Huayra :D

Dont forget that tomorrow there will be a build version released for you to play :)
